"Halstead!"
Leonard Blank hurried down the steps into the courtyard to catch up to the older boy. "Have a word?"
The fourth year was trying to sound serious. He was hoping to be taken seriously. Tennyson Halstead was older than him and he seemed carefree and confident in a way that Leo had never gotten the hang of. Halstead was, most importantly, good at Quidditch. The only problem was that he was a Gryffindor. But Leonard hoped that, somehow, this would not matter.

After having a rather large breakfast this morning, Tenny had lounged around the common room for just long enough for it to feel settled before heading upstairs to get his broom. It was cold out, but that didn't often stop him from getting a few laps in every day, in addition to practice. He'd finally managed to earn as pot on the team, he wanted to make sure he kept it. Chaser hadn't originally been his goal either, so he still needed to work on his coordination a little bit. He would have made a much better keeper, but he took whatever he got.

On his way out, he'd just hit the grass when he heard his name coming from the stairs. "Blank?" He said, obviously confused as to what the Slytherin could want with him. He stopped anyway, curious.
