I suppose this one will find you at Hogwarts this time around. It seems unreal, but I hope school is going well and that you've settled in nicely. I've sent along some treats from Honeyduke's and a nice leather-bound journal and a new quill. I always found unloading my thoughts at the end of a long school day to be most helpful. I'll be in London for the foreseeable future, if you need anything, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Thanks for the journal. I’m surprised you still remember my birthday. Why are you in London now? Are you still a cursebreaker?

I am at Hogwarts now. And in Slytherin, and I’m fine – although Ravenclaw doesn’t seem that bad, either. There are a lot of siblings and twins and cousins in my year. It’s like everyone knows everyone here.

I think mother and Marius are going to Switzerland or Austria soon. But they’re well, in case you care.

I've always lived in London, that's where the bank is. I'm working on some local assignments for a while while I translate for the Goblins.

I'm sure you will make friends soon enough in Slytherin or with partners in class. It took me a little while, but now I have a friend from school who is still my favorite person in the world.

Oh, so she still saw people from school – just not her own brother. She didn’t know him, and she had not stayed long enough to know him, and maybe she would not have liked him anyway, but still: reading my favourite person in the world about someone else struck a nerve. He hadn’t been going to answer it – his birthday had passed, and it wasn’t Christmas yet – but now he was too angry at her not to scrawl a reply.

Angie was not about to justify herself to a twelve-year-old, but something about the accusatory tone had her pausing. He hadn't any idea what her life was like and that was her fault. So she would not rise to the bait. In that thought process however, she wasn't going to ignore him.

I have some other responsibilities to take care of in London. I chose to stay home, especially with you off at school now, and knowing Rebekah and Marius are traveling, somebody should be close if you need anything. I'll be here through New Years at least, if you do wind up needing anything.
