Following a disturbance at the Hogwarts Coming Out Ball, the Ministry of Magic has recovered one Mr. Aubrey Davis, who had been inhabiting the form of a hedgehog. Mr. Davis, 34, was previously known from the missing persons list, having disappeared from his position in domestic service in 1878. The case is believed to have been a magical accident.

Mister and Mrs Priam Lestrange are celebrating the birth of their children, Phrixus Priam and Helle Katherina Lestrange. Mother and children are doing well. The new Miss Helle Katherina, is the couple's 4th daughter, while Master Phrixus Priam is the couple's first son.

August 24th, 1893

It is with sadness that the family of Mister Eugene Carmicheal II, late of Hogsmeade announce his passing at home late last night. Mister Carmicheal, a retired member of the Wizengemot had been in ill health for some time and passed with his family surrounding him after a long illness. He is survived by his son Mister Eugene III, Mrs Loretta Woods nee Carmicheal, Mister Algernon Carmicheal and Mister Franklin Carmicheal, and family.

He is to be interred in Aspodel cemetery on Sunday, after a funeral service at Noon.

Jewell Distillery announced today they will close their doors after 30 years of service to the magical community, following irreparable damage to their London-based warehouse and manufacturing facilities. The business was owned and operated by the Jewell family and existed as a Muggle distillery for some years prior to 1863, when they produced their first magical firewhiskey. Over the past decade their business expanded to cover a range of liquors, as well as importation of wine and champagne.
