Appearance: Athena is a slender girl standing at 5'2". She is of average build, has dirty-blonde hair, and light-brown eyes. Like her mother, Athena's wand hand is her left. She is quite comfortable in her school robes during the school year, though she often wears her house scarf as she gets cold easily. Outside of Hogwarts, Athena tends to wear modest finery when visiting relatives and friends of her mother's, the Flints. When formality is of little concern, she likes to wear simple black dresses with a large bow in the rear.
History: Athena was born to Declan and Anneliese Burke in 1878, in London, England. She enjoyed a comfortable early childhood, showing an aptitude for reading and writing that would later become one of her favorite pastimes. As an only child, young Athena was the object of doting for her parents and grandparents, who encouraged her to pursue many different activities (such as dance, art, and baking). Despite uncomfortable estangements between her father and the rest of the Burke family, Athena would often spend summers and holidays with them.
When she turned 11, Athena received her letter of acceptance to Hogwarts, where she was sorted into Slytherin house after convincing the Sorting Hat that Ravenclaw was not the house for her - anything short of Green and Silver would be shameful to her family. Her first four years at Hogwarts have gone by rather uneventfully, though Athena has made a name for herself as a half-blood sympathizer. She tries to maintain appearances, but her natural compassion for others makes this difficult. She looks forward to her fifth year at Hogwarts, and has made a personal goal to experience an entirely new adventure at school this year.
Personality: Athena can be described as fairweather, though this is due to her desire to maintain an image for her family. She is caring, empathetic, and kind. When backed into a corner or under stress, Athena can be short and sarcastic.
Other: Athena has an affinity for potions, though charms is her favorite subject. She is quite fond of bows. She would be recognizable to some as a summertime helper at Borgin and Burkes.
