Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1894. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.
Aahh, the battle of the debutantes — Faustus wondered what would come of this duel. While he certainly wasn't a betting man, he found himself rather intrigued on who would emerge from this competition as the victor.
After the rules were read, Faustus nodded to Miss Gallivan. "Please begin."

What a funny game of luck it was for Fitzroy Prewett's brother to moderate her duel with Miss Zabini.
As for Miss Zabini... Cee had heard gossip about her being seen with Mr. Fitzroy Prewett at some events, which made the blonde all the more willing to hurl a hex at her which, if not repelled, would have sewage water blasted at her.
A Prewett was moderating this duel, but regrettably Mr. Faustus Prewett was significantly less attractive than Mr. Fitzroy Prewett. Camilla didn't have time to think about that, though; she had to show up Miss Gallivan.
Camilla cast a shield charm variant which would ideally send the sewage back at Miss Gallivan.
He knew women tended towards wearing some sort of light fragrance, however this was not what he'd had in mind. Faustus wouldn't wager that it was what poor Miss Zabini had in mind either, though it appeared she had little say in this matter.
With a slightly crinkled nose, (if anyone were extremely close perhaps they'd have seen a slight smile on his face too) Faustus gestured to Miss Gallivan. "The point goes to Miss Gallivan. Miss Zabini, when you are quite ready." He waved his wand to get rid of the mess as well as hopefully the smell — though some of it still lingered in the air. Some of the onlookers snapped their fans open to wave the scent away.

It was lucky that Mr. Prewett vanished the sewage water as quickly as he did, because otherwise, Camilla thought, she really might have vomited. She hid a gag behind her elbow and regained herself - she couldn't spend too much time regaining herself, as she was going to have to destroy Miss Gallivan.
She shot a spell at the other debutante, intending to transfigure her into a pig.
With a slight raise of his eyebrows, Faustus' mused as to what Miss Zabini would have done if she'd been allowed to go even further. As it stood, he couldn't think too long on the answer; an oinking, squealing sow currently stood where Miss Gallivan was, and it wouldn't do her any good to know the outcome at this point. "The second point goes to Miss Zabini." he announced as he reverted Miss Gallivan to her natural debutante-self. "Miss Gallivan when you are ready, please commence our tie-breaker."
By now, he was properly invested in what the blonde would come up with.

Her shield charm hadn't been very strong. Being transfigured into an animal was always an unpleasant experience and Cee felt dizzy when Mr. Prewett turned her back into her original form.
Ha. Camilla hid a smile behind her hand at the Gallivan-pig, and prepared herself for the next round. "Protego," she cast - no need to be fancy in repelling the spell.
Miss Zabini's shield worked exactly how it was supposed to — Miss Gallivan's spell ricocheted off as if it were a pebble on pavement, though it bounced off and hit an unassuming audience member who immediately started convulsing.
Faustus motioned for the healers to aid the slug-vomiting audience member as he gestured to the dark-haired witch. "Miss Zabini wins this round; my commiserations, Miss Gallivan."
