"You can do anything if you truly believe in yourself!" Elon offered. He had never known hardship in his life, so he thought things were that simple. It was only a matter of having the right mindset. Great Aunt Ignatia hadn't been someone special until she happened to discover the formula behind the Floo powder.

"Dreams aren't obtainable for people of my sort. I've siblings to think of — brothers and sisters who haven't yet had a chance to attend school. My family has a farm that needs to be supported." Elon had never known any of those struggles but he didn't think it was that bad. Miss Dawson was simply stuck in a loop of negative thoughts. She had been conditioned to think that life was harsh and that she was to receive its worst hits.
"Don't be defeatists, dear!" Elon urged Miss Dawson. The 'dear' had escaped him before he'd had the chance to filter it out. Stop blaming your parents' farm and your starving siblings because' you're afraid to believe in yourself!"

"There's a sharp distinction to be noted between being a
defeatist and a

They existed within such different worlds that any similarities between them would be greatly obscured by the facts of reality. "Perhaps we should focus on our work." She then suggested, looking back towards the essays.

He'd gone too far once more. He still stood by his belief that her outlook on life was too gloomy, but it'd only do harm to their relationship to press her further. Hopefully, she would one day overcome those limiting beliefs and reach her true potential.
"Right," Elon said instead and lowered his head to his essay. For the remainder of their session, he didn't say anything distracting.
