Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Did You Know?
Did you know? Jewelry of jet was the haute jewelry of the Victorian era. — Fallin
“That’s true,” Saxon said thoughtfully as he continued to walk with the girl as they made their way to wherever it was she was headed, “Do you think he owns the castle, then? I would love to own a castle and father can fly all around it!”
"No. It's probably owned by the Ministry." She said simply. Then she thought a bit more about what he said. "What do you meam your father could fly around? On a broom?"
“Yeah… Probably. I wonder who owns the Ministry then because surely then that person would own the castle? Which would mean that he would be more powerful than Headmaster Black which would mean Headmaster Black is in the wrong profession!” Of course, Saxon thought him in the wrong profession anyway; he seemed to have a vile disdain for all things children. Or living. And dead.
“Not on a broom,” Could you imagine? A ghost flying on a broom! “He’s a ghost,” Saxon said with a hesitant voice before swiftly changing the subject, “Where are you going to study?”
"I don't know. The Minister? But, adults elect the Minister. So, men? So, you, technically. When you grow up." That sounded so weird. But, she supposed that was right. But why did magazines complain so much about the Minister and Hogwarts if they controlled it? Adults were weird.
Hesitance. Must have been recent. "Sorry." She mumbled before welcoming the change of subject with swiftness. "My common room. Better than the library. The librarian doesn't like us to talk and I ask questions from the older students sometimes."
“I can’t wait to own the Ministry, then!” Saxon said with a confident and solitary nod.
Her sorry at the mention of him being a ghost had him shrug nonchalantly. He could feign apathy toward it. At least his father was a ghost, right? He couldn’t miss him if he was still there!
“Oh. Okay. I guess I’ll go then and let you go to your common room,” Saxon said and before she could respond, he turned on the balls of his feet and began a short run back to the Great Hall. He turned around for a split second, “Bye!”

Oh yes. But truly? Alina hoped that one day she would rule the Ministry. To have power over her life. Perhaps even the lives of others. "Alright. Good night Mr. Goshawk." She said before heading off on her way.
