Magic certainly made the entire dressing process much easier without the help of a lady's maid or dorm mate like in school, but she managed alright, hooking the loops of her corset closed without too much hassle. She immediately disliked the feeling, but there wasn't much to be done about it. Pulling her arm through her bodice, she paused when Tyb's hand caught hers.

"It'll be alright. Worst case is I'm a house-bound for a week or two." She would write to Meri, borrow her friend as an alibi if necessary. Meri having a midnight premonition that required calming was not too far out of the realm of possible... Els squeezed his hand tightly. "Of course I will." Softening her smile, she gave his hand another squeeze before letting go to button up her bodice.

Though every fiber of her wanted to linger, Elsie knew she should go face the music and get this over with. Her mother had no reason to doubt the story she would weave, though Elsie was not the best at lying, this was critical. She hated to do it, hated that she had to do it, but there was no going back now, no regrets, just making sure nothing else threw them off course from here on out. Once that was tackled, she would handle the Mr. Adlard situation and hopefully that would be the end of that as well.
