“Then I’ll add my best wishes in hopes that will help him recover,” Vera replied with a smile. Were they still as close as they were at Hogwarts, she might have endeavored to reach out a comforting hand to her friend. But as it stood, she could only offer a genuine and hopeful smile.

Sera remembered Vera's smile enough to know that this one was real. They had finally reached the tea shop. Sera held the door open for Vera. "You'll have to tell me the best thing to get here," she said, "I'm not sure the last time I've been."
