ISO a bestie with an MC (maybe UC) family who would have taken pity on a muggleborn who was cast out of his family and let them stay with him during the summers. Money was provided for his education/supplies, but nothing beyond that. Brooks was a Slytherin born in 1860, so started Hogwarts in 1871. I feel like this could be open to someone in his year or a year/two above. He was in awe and a little heartbroken puppy with no idea what the end of his first year would look like!
