Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1894. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.
I hope this letter finds you in reasonably high spirits, given the circumstances, but as I hold little hope of it I will cut straight to the point: I believe I understand enough of what happened at the High Street modiste on 28 March to reverse the process, but will need your participation (as well as that of the other young women affected). Are you at all familiar with Restoration Rituals? Conducting one at the site should restore you to the memories of those who have presently forgotten — I will of course be on hand to assist and guide you through the process. The modiste is closed for the coming week, pending further elements of the investigation, but I have been given a key and can let you into the premise at any time that suits if you will advise when to meet you.
One last thing — this ritual will be best accomplished if you can bring something memory-bound to use as a focal point. Something like a diary, a family heirloom passed down to you, an item of great sentimental value. I don't believe this item should be at all harmed by the process, though unfortunately I can't give you my word on the subject.
Our prior acquaintance will come in handy, though — not because it is necessary for the ritual but because it will be immediately evident whether or not it has worked, I should think.
Sincerely,
Ezra Applegate

Forgive my writing to you on a week-end but I expected you should like this news sooner than later. I believe I have discovered a method by which one may reverse the damage which was done to you on 28 March. In order to accomplish it I shall need you to perform a bit of magic at the site of the initial incident — I can let you in at a day and time of your choosing — and will need you to bring, if possible, one item of sentimental value to you. The more significant in terms of memory attachment, the better for the magic. Please write if you have questions.

I'm writing with good news: I believe I have discovered the route to set you back to rights. I will need a few things from you, namely a bit of your time and one item of sentimental value. This item can be anything you feel has a strong attachment to your life in terms of emotion or memory. When you have it, let me know and I shall meet you at the High Street modiste to advise you on how to proceed.
I hope you've been keeping well enough since Thursday — I have been hurrying as much as I could to sort this out.
Sincerely,
Ezra Applegate

I believe I have found a way out of the predicament you have been landed in by Thursday's incident. If you are able to obtain an item of particular sentimental value, please write me to arrange a time to bring it to the modiste. We shall be using it as the center of a Restoration Ritual — but that said, I am fairly confident it will remain intact at the end of the spell. I am even more confident that this will put you back in the memories of those who know you, which is probably worth the trade-off if it is damaged. If you have questions or concerns please don't hesitate to write.
Sincerely,
Ezra Applegate
