Dear Miss Corner

I am not sure if you remember me but we had met in the previous year when you attended an Irvingly event. I am sorry it took over a year for me to write to you. Perhaps you don't even remember who I am. We had shared a dance and you expressed an interest in attending more Irvingly things.

I am afraid I have no excuses other than being rather shy and being uncertain which events might appeal to you.

If you still had the same desire to enjoy Irvingly events, we are having another Spring Celebration. Which makes sense, I suppose, since it is an annual event. At any rate, it is usually hosted in mid May but circumstances have seen it extended to June the 18th. I wondered if you might like to attend as my guest.

Sincerely,
Josiah Rohlwing

Mr. Rohlwing,

Oh, but how could I forget! You were very kind to me – and the first muggle I ever properly met – and I was afraid I blabbered too much and you were just being polite and – well, suffice it to say I am very glad you remembered me.

You needn’t have worried, though, for I should think any event at all could interest me. I have seen so little of the world that I would hardly mind seeing or doing anything once. You could invite me to a market day or a church service or a post-sorting day and I shouldn’t mind at all, because how should I know whether I like it or not until I’ve tried it?

But I so enjoyed the last one, so indeed another Spring Celebration would be lovely! Are you quite sure? How have you been this last year? Where ought I meet you in Irvingly on the 18th?

Yours delightedly,
Viola Corner

Dear Miss Corner

I am equally as glad that you seem to have remembered me.

We do have a market day as well as a dance at the Irvingly Arms the first Friday of every month.

But it would be lovely to see you again at the Celebration. I have been quite well this last year. Nothing much of interest has happened in my life.

Perhaps we could meet by the fountain in Salem Square? It is quite hard to miss.

Sincerely,
Josiah Rohlwing

Mr. Rohlwing,

I ought to come to the Irvingly Arms next month, then! We are not so bad at dancing, I think – but I shouldn’t say no to a little more practice!

Nothing much of interest has happened to me, either. Well. Maybe a thing or two. Not much – nothing much ever does – but things are never quiet in Hogsmeade.

I shall tell you more when I see you, I suppose! The fountain sounds perfect. I can be there at about 5 o’clock.

Yours, with excitement,
Viola Corner
