Uncle Orlando,

I regret to inform you that it is official: I shall be taking after Uncle Andren forthwith. Expect to receive letters about all the hijinx I get up to, and resign yourself to my budding quidditch career now.

I jest of course, but I am indeed in Hufflepuff! I was rather saddened to be sorted separately from Sirius Black (expected) and Cousin Flora (less expected), but I trust in the Sorting Hat's decision, and part of me thought I might be a badger anyways. I write this in my new dormitory(!), where most of us seem too excited to sleep properly. I shall go to the owlry after breakfast tomorrow to send it. I shall have to find out where it is.

Please give my news—and my love—to Uncle Andren and Aunt Delia.

Well sir, I've never met a Hufflepuff I don't like, so you will be in good company. I think you'll fit right in. I do wish you the best of luck in quidditch trials. Let me know how they go and if you need any more equipment for the season, I'll make sure to get you all squared away.
