Adam had been at the zoo for a bit now--long enough to sample the food stalls, and to eye the ice skating with a healthy amount of suspicion. He'd been an athlete once upon a time, but he wasn't convinced that being quidditch player as a teenager translated too well to skating on ice. Maybe he'd get brave later.

He'd stopped to observe the enchanted snowmen with some delighted amusement. "They've sure made the cold of winter entertaining," he commented to a lady near him.

Nathalie would never skip an event at the zoo. She had always enjoyed it ever since moving to Irvingly and often accompanied Phyri when she came to just sit and watch. Nat would have to read or do needlepoint to keep herself busy, but she enjoyed the companionable silence when they came. There was always something new to see or fun to try and today had been no different.

She had escaped to the warmth of the lepidopterarium for a little while, but had found it almost too warm, so had fled back into the sunny winter air, wrapping her scarf tighter around her neck. Nat had been in search of a snack and perhaps something warm to drink, when she was stalled by investigating the enchanted snow sculptures. "They do indeed," she replied warmly, cheeks flushed from the cold, to the gentleman remarking on the snowmen. "It's always such a treat. Hard to believe it's been ten years." She smiled again. "I moved here just six months after it opened, it's grown so much." It was hard to imagine Irvingly without the zoo!
