Enid had fantasized about this for years — the way that Nigel Yarwood would look at her when he wanted to kiss her — but none of her fantasies compared to the real thing, with Nigel looking at her like that and his hand resting on her neck. She beamed up at him, unable to pretend she was anything but what she was — thrilled.

"Yes," she whispered back at him, heart thumping a little faster with the excitement of it.

He felt her whispered agreement against his lips, already so close. The follow up was instant. Much like last time, he was still floundering a little with exactly how to go about everything, but he was learning quickly. He slid his hand upward a little, tangling gently in her hair, feeling the soft strands between his fingers.

The kiss was still soft, he was still learning his way around this, but responded to any movement or noise she made. His free hand wound around her, drawing her in. Their height difference made the physics of this a little difficult, but Nigel rather thought it was worth a little crick in his neck. It might be easier if he could coerce her over to the little sofa. He tugged gently in that direction, seeing if she would follow.
