History:Annie’s figure is not much of anything to comment on. Average in every way, from her height (5” even) to her general lack of curves. With a heart-shaped face and deep blue eyes, her face could be considered traditionally pretty, if it weren’t for the auburn tint to her hair. Her expressions are distinct and easy to read. It’s not often hard to tell what she is thinking, for better or worse. She cannot hide her thoughts very well, nor does she filter them when she speaks.
She dresses in more neutral colors, though does like pinks and purples sometimes. Her wardrobe has always been generally nice, given she was the only girl in the family, but she makes sure her appearance is neat and clean, especially at work. Her fragrance is sweet, lilacs and peonies. She is right handed.
The Next
1868Annora Faye joins a long line of brothers. The only other girl born to the family, Gracie, only survived a few short weeks after her birth, making Annie’s birth both a joyous and somber event. The Last
1865A younger brother, the last, is born. Annie is immediately smitten and tries to play with Jonah as much as she can. Childhood
1866-1880Her childhood is largely normal, tortured by a governess once she was of age, expected to be prim and proper when her brothers were allowed to traipse through the woods and garden haphazardly. She instilled both a weird sense of resentment and duty in her. She ought to be the girl her mother always wanted, but it is hard when it looks like her brothers are always having more fun. She plays the piano forte, sings fairly well, reads and isn’t too bad at French either. All while she would like to learn how to shoot a bow or play outside. She is allowed the freedom of riding and she does enjoy the outdoors as much as she can. Brothers head off to Hogawrts with enough frequency that she hardly keeps up. Once it is just her and Jonah at home, things feel more calm and she can focus on her studies better. Her first act of magic comes in the form of bringing some flowers in a vase back from the brink of death to cheer her mother up. Hogwarts
1880-1887Her Sorting into Ravenclaw was a bit of a surprise, but Annie hadn’t known exactly what to expect anyway. Her brothers had been Sorted all over the place and it felt like without rhyme or reason. Once she settled in, Annie found herself at home, generally. She had always liked learning and reading about things she was interested in. Plus she could have never dreamed of surviving in the rowdy Gryffindor common room. Her schooling is largely uneventful, accruing no accolades like prefect or particularly high marks. She does well and that is… good enough. She does well in classes like Charms and enjoys Divination for an elective, along with Earth Magic. It is between those two subjects she starts to find something she is truly passionate about. The Debutante
1887 - 1889Annie has never been quite what to do with herself upon graduation. Her mother pushes for the season and so she obliges. She isn’t very good at it; in fact she’s quite terrible and it goes poorly. She is a bit of a wallflower and any progress she does make is minimal. Annie has no idea how to talk to eligible gentlemen and she suspects her brothers are sabotaging her too. Why she doesn’t know and she can’t get anything out of them either, but she things so anyway. The Weather
1889 - PresentShe can’t take it anymore and against her mother’s wishes, Annie needs to find something to occupy her time. There’s been no progress on securing a marriage and she’s been reading up on all sorts of things in her spare time. The weather has always fascinated her and she likes both the science and the magic of it. Once she gets a whim, she can rarely be stopped. Her perusals come and go over the years but this one has stuck around and at least she’s able to make a career of it.
Her twenty-sixth birthday has passed just recently and it’s a wake-up call; she cannot become a spinster. It simply Cannot Happen and so she’s got to figure something out.
Personality:
FANCIFUL | NAIVE | ROMANTIC | DETERMINED
Annie can read the weather better than she can read people. A little socially awkward and sometimes too forward, Annie can be hard to talk to. She likes people and wishes she could relate better somehow. The weather makes sense, she just needs to be able to translate those skills to socializing. She is terrified of being alone and surrounds herself with like-minded friends, as she craves the camaraderie of other women. Being surrounded by brothers is a chore and she cherishes her girlfriends. She is a good-listener, but rarely offers any good advice, just a shoulder to cry on or whatever it is her friends need. A girl’s girl through and through, she likes to see people happy. She is prone to flights of fancy and pursues passions and people on a whim. This has gotten her into trouble a time or two, but she means well. Her moods are as fickle as the weather she predicts, she just handles them far less reliably.
