Miss Enid Glynn,

I hope this letter finds you well and that it does not come as too much of a surprise. I should have written sooner to check in, but I've been quite busy. It is no excuse of course, I should have endeavored to find the time. Romania has been an interesting visit. I have grown quite fond of the small town we are staying in while studying the Longhorn. This new reserve seems to be doing well, not entirely unlike the one at home. It's not quite as expansive as some of the others, especially the MacFusty's, but I think they're aiming to expand upon it in the future.

Anyway, I wrote with a purpose more than excuses and ramblings. I saw this little carved dragon at one of the stalls in the Saturday bazaar and it made me think of you. Maybe it was the bright emerald color, brought the Greens to mind. I hope you like it.

How are things in the glen? At the hospital? Please give my best to your family and everybody 'round the pub.
Sincerely,
Nigel Yarwood

There is no need to apologize for your delay in writing — I am pleasantly surprised that you wrote me! That is to say nothing of the carved dragon — I do like it a great deal, and I appreciate your generosity in sending me a gift. Is there anything you would like from home that I can send you?

It is exciting to hear of the news of your adventures with the Longhorns in Romania. From what I can tell, and from what my sister says, the dragons here are doing as well as they ever are. (There was some drama with dragon Nigel in February, but I think Mr. Howell ensured his safety.) The hospital is also as well as it ever is - I will be a full healer in September, and I am very excited about it.

Thank you again for writing, and I hope my reply finds you well.

Sincerely,
Enid Glynn

Miss Enid Glynn,

I am pleased to hear you enjoyed it. I cannot think of anything I am missing from home aside from my own bed, which I think would be rather hard to ship. I appreciate the offer however.

Dragon Nigel always seems to be up to no good. It is good that Howell was able to contain him and that he is well. I would hate for my counterpart to come to any harm, no matter how opposite we are. I do enjoy hearing about home, though my mother's letters are far from useful information, as she tends to ramble, I still miss it.

You must be very excited to complete your training, will you stay in the Creatures ward or has something else caught your attention? The healer on staff here is quite well-trained, specifically for dragon injuries. Perhaps you could do something of the kind in the future, if you were so inclined.
Sincerely,
Nigel Yarwood

I am going to stay on the creatures ward! I've always felt that the Glen could use a well-trained healer who lives there — and adding knowledge of dragons to my repertoire would certainly be helpful. Do you know anyone I could learn from? I fear I will not be able to travel to Romania to find their healer!

My sisters & I went to the dueling tournament in Hogsmeade today! It was certainly eventful — would you ever compete? Have you?

Sincerely,
Enid Glynn

Miss Enid Glynn,

A most reasonable answer. We could indeed use someone specifically trained for such injuries. I ordered a book that my colleague here recommended for you, it should arrive to your home in the next week or so. I hope it proves useful.

The dueling tournament? Can't say that I have, it sounds much more like something my brother would enjoy. I am not very good at thinking on my feet like that. How was it to watch? Would it be something you would ever participate in?
Sincerely,
Nigel Yarwood

I'm keeping an eye out for the book! I'm eager to check it out — hopefully I will be able to read it before you get back. (When do you return?)

It was interesting to watch, but I can't say that I would ever duel. (I think that Gwyn would rather like to.) I do think I would be interested in volunteering as a healer at the next one, though.

Sincerely,
Enid Glynn

Miss Enid Glynn,

I'm told the text is incredibly informative on the different sorts of dragon injuries one can incur, and some useful methods to treat them. I do hope it proves useful. It shouldn't be much longer, I had to enquire to a few different bookstores to acquire it, but the bookstore in London assured me they had a copy that could be forwarded.

I'm sure the duels would be good practice for your skills, if nothing else.

I should return mid-June, if everything goes according to plan. We are waiting on a hatch of a certain dragon to occur before I can make my final notes and report back to the ministry. It has been an enlightening visit and while I have learned much, I think I will be ready for the comforts and routines of home, and the people as well.

Hopefully I will see you soon.
Sincerely,
Nigel Yarwood

The book has arrived! It looks very informative — and interesting — and I am excited to delve into it. I very much appreciate the levels you have gone through to get it my way!

I hope the dragon hatch goes well! Hopefully you will be back in time for Fairtree Farm's 150th Birthday — my siblings and I are planning an excellent celebration. The Glen is in many ways just the same as it always is — I think you will enjoy your return.

Sincerely,
Enid Glynn
