Dragon Smuggling Ring Exposed!
Tiny Dragons Terrorize Hogsmeade
Two individuals have been arrested for trading in dragons, the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures has confirmed.
Harrison Littlejohn, thirty-two, and Titus Drake, twenty-six, both of Hogsmeade, were taken into custody yesterday morning following the discovery that they had been selling Class V magical creatures to buyers unknown. The pair, both attached to the Padmore Park stables, reportedly obtained that miniature dragons previously seen at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in September from a yet-to-be-determined third party—although modest sleuthing has revealed that Mr. Littlejohn has connections within the Ministry of Magic.
The dragons were kept in the stables under various sleeping charms which seem to have failed sometime on Saturday morning. The result saw a number of the dragons terrorize the denizens of Hogsmeade, including Mr. Gaius Malfoy and his wife. It seems likely that the dragons may also have been the culprits of a series of small fires that had plagued the stables in the past week.
"The Hogwarts dragons were taken to the outer Hebrides where they wouldn't do any trouble," explained Miss Gwyneth Conway of the Avalon Glen Dragon Reservation in Wales. "In such large numbers, they are simply too dangerous to roam the mainland. Those retrieved from the stables, well, those are smaller numbers, and so there are any number of destinations that might be suitable."
A trial date for Littlejohn and Drake has not yet been set.
