3rd April, 1888
Miss Black,I hope that this letter finds you well, and that the Easter season has brought your family together. My own family managed to gather the vast majority of their number together for the first time since the arrival of my youngest cousin, and it was from another cousin that I received the attached article.
I know that you, like myself, will find the content entirely laughable and not quite enough to punish the magazine for a slight against your character, but suspected that a woman of your refined tastes might not come across it in a more organic function. Perhaps the only 'prediction' of merit they have made was regarding veela at the Ministry (a weakness of men, if ever there was one!), though if I hear any such gossip of Mr. Merrick, I might look upon you with more suspicion!
(Of course, I do jest.)
It is my hope that we might have opportunity to discuss such foolishness in person in the future; until then, I remain admiring of your dignity, poise, and (blood) purity, and wish any such foolish authors the wisdom not to provoke you past the point that it might be borne.
Yours sincerely,
Miss Tatiana Lestrange
