The tea was an easier object to focus on than her husband's (Merlin, Ben was her husband!) brooding face. She quietly fixed it to her liking as she awaited his determination. With any luck, the decisions made which affected them both would be settled upon together. Or, at the very least, her input wouldn't be shrugged off without thought. However, for now Melody was resolved to follow his lead wherever it took them.

It was the least she could do.

Melody eyed the front page of the Prophet cautiously. There were no glaring headlines about their elopement, but it was still early yet. Someone - be it her parents or Samuel - was bound to report it at some point. "I can do that." She replied as she reached for the paper. What she was to look for Melody wasn't sure, though she wasn't about to press him for more details. Ben didn't need any additional reasons to think her a fool.
