Miss Fairchild,
I have never so much longed to see the end of a summer, perhaps not because of my enthusiasm for school but rather the knowledge that school could only resume if the fog were to dissipate! I regret that I have not been able to accompany you to church this summer—I was so longing to learn more about your beliefs! Perhaps the fog will clear in the next month and I will be able to join you on a clear and sunny Sunday morning.
Should I presume your OWL scores and supply list found you without trouble? My Aunt Nephele says owls are far too clever to be slowed down by a bit of fog.
Sincerely,
Miss Frida Lestrange
