This consisted of a high-necked blouse with long sleeves, a white apron to protect her clothing, and a full skirt made of sturdy linen with a bodice underneath while wearing a simple "coif" on her head, though as the Victorian period approached, she would often wear simple head coverings made from cotton as she worked; this was frequently paired with a shawl for added warmth and protection.
As for accessories, Noémie would wear a small, delicate locket that contained a portrait of her father, who had passed on.
History:
1597 Baby Gravesend in Bloom | Noémie was born on a crisp autumn morning during the 16th century in the country of England in October 1597; her birth was a momentous occasion for her father, a Pureblood, and her mother, a Muggleborn. While her parents welcomed their new bundle of joy into the world, the air was filled with the sweet scent of ripe apples, and the leaves were crunching underfoot. Together, Mr. and Mrs. Gravesend would see the promise of a bright future ahead in their little one's sparkling gaze. |
1604 Hit The Books | When Noémie was around 6 or 7, she would begin to receive basic instruction at home. She was unsure what to expect. Eager to learn more, Noémie settled into a normal routine. |
1606 First Showing Of Magic | When Noémie was around 9 years old or was about to turn 9 years old, she and her parents had gone on a trip. As she wandered around the estate they were staying in, she couldn't help but stumble upon a door she had never seen before. It appeared locked; she couldn't open it, no matter how hard she tried. Without thinking, she whispered something that caused the door to creak open; this shocked her initially, though she became amazed and thrilled. Inside, she found a room that was filled with all sorts of books and objects that caught her eye. She would spend hours in that room, taking in the intricate details of what was there. |
1608 Party Of Four; Hogwarts Letter | The Gravesend family bustled with excitement. In late February 1608, the youngest child of the household, a baby girl, was born. Welcomed with open arms by Mr. and Mrs. Gravesend and Noémie, the family was overjoyed at the arrival of the newest addition. Later that year, Noémie's life slightly changed. During the summer, an owl named Snowy would deliver a letter. The bird would perch on the windowsill and coo softly as she opened the letter. Noémie would find a formal invitation to attend Hogwarts the following year as a train schedule and a list of supplies she would need to bring were enclosed. Her heart would race as she read the letter repeatedly; her mind was filled with visions of magic and adventure. It was obvious that Noémie's parents were excited for her; they expressed their support. Noémie knew she was meant for great things, but this moment was beyond anything she could have envisioned. |
1609 — 1616 Mischief Managed | Noémie is greeted by the Hogwarts castle after she had arrived during a long and stormy journey. She was sorted into Hufflepuff House, where she would quickly make friends with her fellow students. Noémie was amazed by Hogwarts' beauty and the surrounding landscape; she felt a sense of wonder and excitement while exploring the grounds. Over the next seven years, she would immerse herself in her studies. She also became known for her infectious energy and warmth, earning the nickname "Hufflepuff's Heart." Noémie graduated from Hogwarts in 1616; she was ready to face the challenges ahead. |
July 1616 — October 1618 The Hills Are Alive | During the summer of 1616, Noémie packed her bags and set off for Ireland after saying goodbye to her friends and family. She had secured a position to do Domestic service for a wealthy family living just outside Dublin; lush green forests and sparkling streams surrounded their estate. In Ireland, Noémie performed household tasks within the home. She threw herself into her work; Noémie was determined to succeed in her tasks. In October 1618, she bid farewell to the family before returning home. |
November 1618 Out Of Sorts | It was obvious that Noémie's father had always been a pillar of strength for Noémie. However, on a chilly November evening, he had fallen ill with scarlet fever; it seemed to have consumed him whole. At the time, Noémie was only 21 years of age; it was obvious that she was filled with a sense of dread as she had heard her father struggling with the common symptoms that came with scarlet fever. The thought of even losing her father was unbearable; Noémie had always been close to him. With each passing day, his condition only seemed to have worsened. She knew she couldn't save him, but Noémie could only be there for him during his final moments; that was the least she could do. It was obvious that Noémie's father was proud of her; he had expressed it before. In the early hours of the morning, Noémie's father took his last breath. She was devastated, though, at the same time, she knew he was at peace. |
December 1618 Scared Stiff | One fateful night, Noémie's life would be forever changed. A strange figure appeared to her while she tended to the vines late into the evening; he was tall, dressed in black, and had piercing eyes that seemed to have bored into her soul. Before Noémie knew it, he had bitten her on the neck; she felt an inexplicable pull towards him at first. Her neck seemed to have been covered in two minor puncture wounds. Noémie would feel weak and dizzy; her heart raced as if it had the moment to burst from her chest like a balloon. She knew something was wrong; the figure was nowhere in sight. Noémie's transformation began to take hold as the days passed. A strange hunger had built inside her; she had never experienced this in all her life. Her skin grew cold to the touch while her heart beat rapidly, and her body became more substantial and agile. Noémie's senses grew sharper as her reflexes became quicker. At this point, she knew that she was now a vampire. Noémie was filled with fear and exhilaration; she knew she would have to leave her old life behind and embrace her newfound existence. She was ready, however, for she knew she was now a creature of the night. |
1818 Patna, India | 200 years had passed in a flash since the strange figure, who later identified himself as or called himself Vladislaus, had turned Noémie into a vampire. At the time of her transformation, Noémie was just a young woman full of life and had dreamt about what the future held for her; all that changed since that cold December night in 1618. She had spent those 200 years roaming the world, always on the run and constantly looking over her shoulder; the alias, "Severina Dee," was born to protect her true nature. In Patna, however, Noémie found a place where she could rest; this was where she could be free to be herself without fear. She would grow accustomed to the bustling city's heat and smells; she learned to navigate its winding streets with ease as she blended in with the crowds without making things suspicious. |
1853 Athens, Greece | Noémie would leave Patna with Vladislaus months prior, seeking a new chapter in life. Athens would be the perfect place to start over. She was determined to live peacefully, no matter what. Noémie couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia while walking through the streets, reminiscing her life back in India when she settled there. The smell of spices and incense had filled the air; it reminded her of the markets where she had shopped. She had missed the colorful fabrics and the lively music that filled the streets; it consumed her whole in the most positive way possible. While Athens was a far cry from the villages she came to know, she found beauty in the chaos. |
1893 — Present Home Sweet Home | After all of these years of wandering, Noémie felt the urge to settle down. She chose to settle in Hogsmeade, mainly The Slums, as the place to call home. Noémie proceeded to do some Shop work; she was able to use the skills she had gained to her advantage. Despite wanting to keep a low profile, she couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia. Noémie would often sneak out at night; she explored the streets as she reveled in the energy off where she had lived. Even though it wasn't much, she knew that that she had to appreciate the surroundings that are near. It was one of those nights that she met a woman. The woman that she had met had a quick wit to her and a passion for life. There was no doubt in Noémie's mind that she was immediately drawn to her. As they talked, Noémie couldn't help but feel a strange attraction. She's never been attracted to women before; there was something about this woman that drew Noémie in like a moth to a flame.
