Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Mr. Philip Rowle has been announced as the unexpected new owner of the Falmouth Falcons. Mr. Rowle, currently also Head of the Ministry's Research Committee, takes up the sponsor's mantle for the quidditch team after former sponsor Mr. Bartholomew Bligh stepped down in the face of an ongoing legal inquiry into his personal finances. The Falmouth Falcons currently stand at eighth in the league.

Following through on a frequent campaign promise, rumor has it that Minister Dempsey has been hard at work assembling a committee on voting reform. Committee members have not been publicized by the Office of the Minister but rumor has it that the Minister was seen meeting privately with both Wizengamot member Gaius Malfoy and freelance Muggleborn potioneer Henry Berkwood, suggesting the composition of the committee will prove eclectic. In response to a request for comment the Office of the Minister indicated they expect the committee to be formally convened in January, 1894.
Miss Topaz Urquart, werewolf and daughter of the recently deceased former Minister of Magic Balthazar Urquart, was reported missing by her family yesterday evening. Urquart is a registered werewolf who was last seen by her family after returning from the Ministry's holding cells on the morning of November 25th following the most recent full moon. The case is currently being handled by the Department of Magical Law Enforcement but will presumably transfer to the Werewolf Capture Unit if Urquart fails to reappear prior to the next full moon.
