Not worthy of a full absence since I'm hopefully back now, BUT just a quick note on why I was so scarce the past few days!

I'd planned to go into the city for a dinner res - one of my fav restaurants had just reopened for the first time in over a year. Natch, I took advantage of the fact that I was there to go to IKEA and Starbucks as well, and while in the drive-thru line for the latter, my car had a mental breakdown. Or I did. Someone did. There was lots of beeping.

Turns out it needs some pricey repairs; fortunately, that is not an issue (thanks, Mum!). Unfortunately, I was carless and stressed all weekend. The aforementioned mother did lend me her car to come home tonight and go to work tomorrow, though >.>

So yes. Life was NOT a beach but was, in fact, a bitch. At least I got to go on a boat and had a SENSATIONAL book haul that can be viewed over on Insta /shameless self promotion xD
