E.,

I am positively beside myself having read today's issue of Witch Weekly. I neither know nor care who this "Meredith Watchword" truly is; it is the editors of this vile magazine that I hold in greatest contempt for feeling so free to publish something with such potential for ruin!

It should be very surprising if the news does not reach your husband's eyes (or worse, ears) sooner than later; while I should hate for you to incriminate yourself, it might be best for your continued happiness that it come to you, rather than elsewhere. There will, of course, be our uncle to contend with as well; how I wish this did not have to burden you!  How are you bearing up?

My floo is always open to you should you need.

Affectionately,
E.

E,

I spoke to Claude about it and thankfully he took it well - he said he couldn't fault me for something that wasn't even that scandalous and which happened before we were married. He did warn me about our family, though. Do you think Uncle Lucius will hurt me? Mother certainly wouldn't hesitate to do so, if she were alive.

I might take you up on the offer for the visit.

Yours,
E

E.,

Oh my dear, you mustn't let your anxieties get the better of you! I daresay Uncle Lucius will not be thrilled by this particular bout of gossip, but I expect he will have a few stern words and leave it there. After all, you are his daughter now, and carrying his grandchild besides!

I am pleased, though not surprised, to know that Claudius took the revelation in stride. Your husband is a tremendous ally to have, and I am happy that he has not proved a disappointment in that regard.

Will you come for tea tomorrow? I know the girls would love to see you, and I feel so dreadful being so far during this difficult time.

Affectionately,
E.

E,

Uncle Lucius has invited me over for tea tomorrow. Well, Mrs. Lestrange did, but I am sure that our Uncle will want to speak with me regarding the magazine's horrible speculations. I cannot help but feel worried, sister, even though I've done nothing wrong! What if he decides to have me locked up in an asylum, or wherever it is that misbehaving wives go? I have Claude by my side but Uncle Lucius reigns over us all - after all, it was him who decided on our marriage, he could just as easily decide to break it.

Yours,
E
