Dear Billie,

Thank you so very much for your letter! It might be the nicest letter I’ve ever gotten. I’m pleased you enjoyed watching the game - I was quite proud of that first shot, and our whole team so far! - and am so sorry that you were there to see a very bad accident. I promise that doesn’t usually happen in the middle of a game. I bet you’re very brave too, so hopefully this won’t make you stop liking quidditch.

Mr. Ollivander’s probably right, I really can’t blame him. Besides I’m sure you’re very busy getting ready for Hogwarts and all that to come! It’s not long now, is it? I hope you have the very best time. Maybe someday during the school holidays you can come to a Harpies game and we can beat all the boys!

And if you like I’ll write to you to tell you what happens in the second part of the game against Morocco. Though I’m sure you’ll hear all about it in Hogsmeade either way. Cross your fingers that we win!

Your friend,
Gus

Dear Billie,

That’s very true! I have fallen out before and I am still very fond of bed, myself. We played the rest of the match yesterday and you didn’t miss that much. We had a few new players on our team and people had time to recover a little from their injuries, so we did score a few more goals! We were at 90-3o and winning when the Moroccan seeker got to the snitch first. So we lost, I’m sorry to say - but the Moroccan beaters were just as violent as before, so it’s lucky we got in any goals at all between all the dodging! My elbow got hit just before the seekers saw the snitch, which hurt a bit but got all fixed up afterwards, it’s good as new now. And my knees never got hit, either. Guess it’s lucky to be small - I’m too fast for the boys and the bludgers!

It’s my turn to cross my fingers for you now to say good luck at school. Not long now! I’ll be thinking of you, and I will definitely write all the time. I wish I could be a first year again too!

Your friend,
Gus

Gus,

That is dum that you lost but it aynt your falt. The britin seker just is not good I think cuz you got a lot of gols witch is hard work. I am glad they did not kil you or took your nee caps. But I ges if they did you don't realy need nee caps for flying that much. Unles you are racing neer dragins. Then you probly need all of your body to be working.

I will rite you when I no what hows I am in! Good luk with the harpies!

Your friend,

Billie
