Qualifications

Quote:- Earth Magic professor: Would probably be better off as a modern-day elementary-aged teacher. Addresses the houses as the four elements (Gryffindor = fire, Hufflepuff = earth, Slytherin = water, Ravenclaw = air). Has more craft assignments than the actual art instructor. Worships mother nature as a deity.

Could Earth Beck qualify for this? Would I need an AtO? Does she have to be widowed? She doesn't worship mother nature, but she's close enough to the vibe and I could totally see her addressing the houses as the elements as that would just get her all excited like some sort of puppy. I swear. I always wanted to sneak her in to Earth Magic or Herbology, and this just so calls to be from the 'Not adopts but I want' thread.

Where is that from?

Now as for Earth Magic I do remember there was an old discussion when we tried to pin down what the class is about exactly. My view of it was that it involved magic about making land fertile etc or to make trees grow faster. And the gem stone stuff, soul/aura cleansing with them etc. That's what I have been mentioning in my posts with characters that take it at least.

As for qualifications I'd say a NEWT or relative life experience?

It's a comment I made from the "The 'They're Not Adopts But I Still Want Them'" thread!

I know the typical requirements include being 25+ and widowed...? But idk how AtO would work in this case!

I checked the occupations list and it says 25+ and relevant life experience.

HELLO GOOD MORNING

— Not required to be widowed but would cause a rep drop
— Nothing in that blurb is canon
— Earth unfortunately would not qualify as she does not appear to have any related experience
