A Hogwarts Hero?

Darling Victoire,

I have attached a page from this week's edition of Witch Weekly; please read it and then return to this letter.

Wonderful! Now, with this in mind, I must ask what you know about this Professor Foxwood. I do not often feel as though I have missed out for not attending Hogwarts, but I worry now about my lack of knowledge regarding the (hopefully eligible) instructors that the school employs! To that end, I must inquire:

Is Professor Foxwood indeed eligible?
Is he handsome and amiable?
Is he a gentleman of reasonable enough means that Aunt Augusta could not sensibly reject?
If yes to all of the above, what are his interests, his passions, et cetera?

My beloved guardian has begun suggesting that retiring to the country might be to the benefit of our health, and I am loathe to see this come to fruition.

I remain your fond servant,
Eudora

Dearest Dora,

I am familiar with the incident at the Hogwarts debut this season, such a wild affair! Your inquiry after Professor Foxwood is somewhat amusing, though I am afraid I may not be of much use as I did not have him as a professor in my tenure at Hogwarts, either. However I did meet him a couple of times last season and as I am currently being courted by his cousin I can answer a couple of your questions.
~ Yes he is eligible.
~ He is quite handsome, though somewhat awkward in conversation.
~ I do not see why any guardian would object, aside from perhaps, his post at Hogwarts?
~ I am unaware of his pursuits outside of the school, though I do suppose he is an expert at transfiguration.
I must warn you though, I have heard he is not quite in the market for a wife currently, with no immediate intentions to rectify the situation either. I cannot say if or when that will change, but it might prove challenging.

Perhaps I could make an introduction at our next event, if you like, however, so you can judge for yourself!
Fondly,
Torie

Darling Victoire,

A cousin to Mr. Alderton? How charming! I confess, based on your report, I do not care for my chances. However, I should be delighted indeed for an introduction, should the opportunity present itself. I must thank you for your continued indulgence.

Dearest Dora,

I would not write it off completely, there's nothing like a real conversation to see how you get along! It was not my intention to put you off entirely, just to be realistic. I fear I'm becoming far too pragmatic these days. I should hope I don't become too pessimistic!

We should have tea soon, now that the season has begun I'm sure we have lots to catch up on. Plus I could use a break from the house.
Fondly,
Torie
