Her father’s right to call her ‘Sunshine,’ as Hermia’s smile and laugh are something everyone’s experienced. Hermia’s a social butterfly and combatted her loneliness of being away from her family by making friends. She is respectful and polite but will voice her disagreement with ideas she considers bigoted. She’s pure and proud of her famous family line, but she is fascinated by muggles and their culture. She was raised and educated in a rather egalitarian fashion and spent most of her life abroad. She’s thinks most English rules for women are ridiculous, but holds her tongue, mostly. Hermia grew noticeably quiet over her last year of school due to her brother’s death, but few know of it and she pretends it was anxiety over her OWLs.
Friends: Friends are her protection and preoccupation. She probably has plenty of average friends, but very few people that know her beyond the smile. She needs a few close friends she can be real with. She has her own demons and is highly tolerant. Blood, house, or class matter little when it comes to friends for her.
Enemies: Professional bully dodger and avoider of confrontation, Hermia’s likely to bore or piss off bullies. She will go out of her way to pour on the sunshine and rainbows if she knows it would get on your nerves.
Lovers: Possible flirtations and crushes could happen, but she won’t be caught in compromising situations. She can’t imagine being with someone that judges her love of sport or school.
Others: Younger students would find a big sister and Hogwarts guide, professors would see an eager student happy to please and determined to do well, her fellow Hufflepuffs and teammates would know her to pour her heart into everything and work her hardest to make Hufflepuff a safe, welcoming place for all.
Plots: Need a tutor? Need someone to help cover for an indiscretion? Did you want to learn another language or need someone to confide in? Mixed blood or outcasts would find Hermia a safe person to befriend. She a master at memorization, challenge her to a nerd-off. She’s an obnoxious sweetheart.

Exotic and worldly, Angelica is Italian and Russian by blood and English by birth. Angelica is a beauty, but it's her mind that should truly stop someone in their tracks. Always a clever woman, Angelica became a real force once she reached Hogwarts. Excelling in classes and her extracurriculars, Angel was popular and well-liked in school, but she also had a sharp tongue and little patience. She was a Prefect and Head Girl and, above all, a competitor. She dreamed of a career in international politics, but was painfully aware of the limitations of her sex. Angel outsmarted her father's matchmaking and secured a marriage for love, but it came at a price. Angel escapes her abusive husband, but killing him breaks her heart in the process. By twenty-four, she's returned to Britain and secures the Arithmancy position, a remarkable achievement. She's lost the fairy-tale she dreamed of, but she refuses to spend her life in silence.
Friends: Angelica can be difficult. She is a complete extrovert and loves connecting with people, but she has little patience for anyone she deems uninteresting. Intellectual, curious, cosmopolitan, or dedicated to your work? Perfect. Angelica would be drawn to other professors and people with international backgrounds. Money and status aren't nearly as important to her as ambition and intelligence. She also loves her students, regardless of what they say about her homework load.
Enemies: Ignorant? Interested in her for her connections? Think women should be seen and not heard? Solid no. Angel can't tolerate idleness or academic laziness and never had a problem voicing it. Women she sees as too passive and men that only want a bedwarmer are going to earn her disapproval in a split-second. She's smart enough not to escalate to feuds, but her good opinion once lost is lost forever.
Lovers: She was engaged by her sixth year and in love with his brother. A deal with the devil gets her the man she wanted and she's married the summer after graduation. She has the best marriage possible for almost three years until his dark side made an appearance. She's a widow at twenty-two. From 1882-1884, there may have been a fling or two in Russia. After 1884, it's possible she's enjoyed some serious flirtations, but she's cautious. She wants to marry again and have children, but if he isn't ambitious and an intellectual equal, don't bother.
Others: Work colleagues would know her as workaholic that loves students, but doesn't play around. She would love project collaborators or academic ventures. Students would know her as tough, but with a major soft spot for anyone that tries. Need extra work over the summer? Angelica would provide.
Plots: Friends, work connections, a past fling, other widows commiserating, I'm open to any and all.
