Claire had decided to wander about on her own today, one of the few and rare days of which that she wasn’t constantly by her twin’s side for once. It felt rather strange, but the young child rather enjoyed having a little distance from her sister. Perhaps it was good practice, in the small chance that the two of them would not be in the same house at Hogwarts next year. Oh, if she even went to Hogwarts. Lacking any sign of magic, she was starting to wonder if only her twin would be leaving for the school year. Now that would certainly be an uncomfortable amount of time from her twin.
These thoughts did worry her greatly, but she pushed them to the side. Her chaperone was at her side, but didn’t seem to notice Claire stopping when she saw an egg. An egg! She had heard of the wonderful rabbits that were hidden inside, and what a wonderful experience if she ended up taking one home!
Not noticing the person that her chaperone had just bumped into, she knelt down, touching the egg as the other person did. To her disappointment, it was no rabbit. Money was not something that really interested her. Mama and papa were not shy about giving things to her and Cele, so she didn’t really need to buy anything of her own. Looking up when the other girl spoke, she smiled kindly. “No, thank you. I was hoping it was a bunny.” She said. Her chaperone must have heard her voice, because the woman came right back over to her.
