Perhaps it was time then. Jamie wasn't sure, still didn't know if he should take it all the way. She seemed, looked even, so willing but it was still something she'd never be able to take back. He had to know that she was ok with that before he even thought about removing his pants.

He took that moment to catch his breath, to steel himself for whatever answer was to come.

He looked to her with nothing but passion and desire in his dark brown eyes. He took note of her own flushed features and swollen lips. She was entirely and utterly beautiful and he found his stomach and maybe even heart sinking at such a realization. He took in a deep breath as he came to rest on both his elbows above her, no longer touching or kissing her to give them both a slight break.

"Bella," he said softly but his voice almost caught in his throat as he spoke, "There's really only one place left to go from here." He hesitated to continue, his eyes searching her face so he didn't miss anything she might not say but still felt. "I need to know you're okay with that before I go any further," he finished. He was pretty sure he'd never had such control in his life before but something had persisted in his kind that such affirmations would be needed in that moment.
