A walk in the garden had ended with such an avoidable event. Everything had been fine, perfect, even. Then Ambrosia had stumbled into her uncle's Venomous Tentacula - the thing was damn near overgrown. It snared her wand-hand in one of its branches and her ankle with the other, before it yanked her close and its mouth sank into her elbow. Her companion was understandably quite frightened and shocked, fumbling for the pocket she kept her wand in before casting the Severing Charm upon the offending branches.

Now Ambrosia was sitting in St. Mungo's with her companion, pale and feverish. She remembered what the bite of the Tentacula could do - Herbology had been one of her NEWTs, after all. But she couldn't stop herself from gingerly poking at the bite wound with her other hand and hissing.

No one could call Ambrosia Shinnick a fainting flower. Certainly she was a bit shaky from the experience, her slow, steady breathing touched with a faint tremble, but she hadn't passed out.
