Friends: Syd's always been a genial kind of guy and had IC friends previously, so holler at me if that was you! He'll hang out with just about anyone these days, he's not too picky as long as they aren't trafficking animals illegally! Other gents his age of any class probably? He doesn't have much of a social life if it doesn't revolve around the zoo anymore. Professional Contacts: Syd probably works pretty closely with the appropriate ministry departments related to creatures! Any magizoologists/creature healers etc! Hogwarts students looking to intern for the summer or start an apprenticeship after graduating? Hit me up! There are details on the occupations list for open positions and requirements for the open zoo positions! Hurling: Syd isn't down, but I am! He's technically a confirmed bachelor but that doesn't have to be forever. He would make an excellent choice for a widow looking to remarry, or a spinster looking for a comfortable, amicable situation. I would say at least 27+, MC/UCAB? If he's old enough to be their father, he's out, but hey, nothing is every really off the table with me.

Friends I can offer Murdock Greyback - he needs some buds, and they are about the same age. Possibly either knew each other from school - or via the ministry or both.

Thaddeus might be more casually friendly, but i doubt they are close pals

Isis Silverthorne could be a professional contact, in that she brings in cargo, could be used for animal transfers, she regularly goes to foreign arts and parts.

I have hurls by way of Christabel Daphnel as a widow, who might be more of a fail hurl, since she's so intense - or Madeleine Backus - she's younger, but could be good options for a 'you've got mail' style hurl plot

Syd used to work at St. Mungo's in the Creature Induced Injuries ward so if not school, maybe he knows Murdock from there? I doubt he and Thaddeus would get along though lol.

I think you're right, Christabel would be a little Much for him; he definitely needs low key and easygoing. Maddie might make for a good professional contact for smaller creatures since she owns the BBB these days? He's almost twice her age XD

Podmore and Greybacks could be chummy - Merida is creature induced injuries, and between murdocks friendship they could be relatively chummy. and Murdock very much needs male friends - his love life is a nightmare.
