Dear Billie,

Congratulations!!! Definitely twins or something. You would have been a great fit in any house - I’ve met you so I know that you’re brave and smart and very determined as well, but Hufflepuff is my favourite house and I am extra proud to be one now. And keep it a secret but we easily have the best Common Room. And the comfiest chairs.

Hope you have lots of adventures, make lots of friends and tell me all about your first flying lesson this week, won’t you?

Gus

Gus!

I was gona rite you abowt flying lessons but then I was real bizy with a milyun things of home work but I get to write you abowt something way better so I hope its OK.

I tried out for quidditch. AND I GOT SEEKER!! I gess being smal cownts for somethin! We had to cach pretend snitches as many as we culd in five minits and I cachd so many. Just like them rats and things I cachd all my life. I hope I do good at seeker. They were full up for chasers but maybe I will be beter at seeker than chaser! Even thow I wanted to be just like you. I just hope I don't fuk up or nuthin. Or be real bad at it.

Flying class was real fun. It was mosly baysik stuf but way beter than history or anything. I gess we get to lern more later witch is grat! Cuz I want to be even beter so I can be the best seeker.

Are you doing good? I hope you're doing good. They didn't take away bludgers in profeshunul quidditch yet did they? Someone at brekfist said that someone talkt abowt it in that garbig paper Witch Weekly.

Dear Billie,

MERLIN’S PANTS, BILLIE! THAT IS AMAZING! I can’t believe you’re on the team already! I’d better start betting on you seeking for Britain one day, because even most of the best professional players didn’t get on their house teams in first year! (Only don’t get too much of a big head about it because then it’ll be too big for your body and you won’t be able to balance on a broom any more!)

Only joking, I’m so pleased for you and I think your housemates should probably throw you a party for that. I wouldn’t worry about a thing; they wouldn’t have picked you if they didn’t see how good you were. Seeker is a very important job in the game, but, win or lose, as long as you stick up for your teammates on the pitch and off it, they’ll always stick up for you.

I’m very well thank you - better now you’ve made my day! We still have bludgers for now. If you ever get them back at school you’ll be zipping around dodging them no problem, anyway, after catching all those snitches!

Gus
