Local Troll Hero Promoted
Mr. Adlard New Asst. Head
Many may remember the ministry employee, Mr. Percival Adlard, Jr. who bravely subdued the troll on Hogsmeade’s High Street in the summer of 1888 during the onset of the magic hindering fog. Mr. Adlard, at the time an employee of the Beast Division of the Ministry’s Regulation & Control of Magical Creatures Department, led the escaped carnival troll into Honeyduke’s Sweet Shop, collapsing the building on the troll to knock it out without the use of magic. Mr. Adlard not only survived the incident but also saved several onlookers. In the months that followed Mr. Adlard was promoted to Acting Head of the Beast Division and subsequently to the Head of the Beast Division.
The Ministry of Magic announced Mr. Adlard’s promotion to the new Assistant Head of Regulation & Control of Magical Creatures, yesterday afternoon. While Mr. Adlard has not been a Division Head long it appears that his past heroism makes him the man for the job. With recent events at the Ministry one can only wonder if Mr. Adlard is either the perfect man for the job, or another ill conceived placement. Time will only tell. One thing is for certain, Mr. Adlard has become even more eligible a catch then before.
Replacing Mr. Adlard as Beast Division head will be Miss Elinor Goyle, formerly head of the Pest Advisory Bureau.
