Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

Declan bought you guys fun stuff with leprechaun gold.

Thom is not amused. He gave him until June 30th to pay it off but spoiler alert, this stuff is expensive. Since I'm assuming Te's ultimate goal for Declan isn't for him to end up withering away in debtor's prison, I thought we could brainstorm some ~fun solutions. >D

My ideas:
— The debt gets transferred from a personal-Declan debt into a Howlers team debt, since he used it to buy a bunch of stuff for the Howlers, and then the whole team is forced to go fund-raise by doing something ridiculous and/or embarrassing.

— Thom & Mitch Quiddel getting together and making a deal to reduce the debt (or waive it entirely) in exchange for giving Thom free ad space all over the Howlers stadium. What Quiddel might not expect is that a good portion of these are just magical ads that heckle the Howlers during practices and matches because Thom would find that amusing af. (Arthur Pettigrew you get your own ad just for you <3)

— it's not like QQS could just take them back since they've been worn for two months, but I sort of like the idea of revoking the fancy new robes and gloves until they're paid for and sending the Howlers out in something ridiculous for a match, like the "who even knew we still had these" uniforms in the back of the locker room that are all worn and faded and moth-eaten, or something xD

— If Te's game for it we could actually have a debt collector come and try to arrest Declan in the middle of a match or something, and make them play the rest of the game one chaser down. Maybe that happens and then the sponsor and/or coach pays his bail, and that's how the debt gets transferred to being a team problem in the first place?

— gimme your ideas <3

My ideas since Handsome Whitledge is here now! I told you I did it for the drama Wink
❧ If the Howlers have to fund-raise, my first thought is some VE-appropriate version of a "kissing booth", but rather broom bunnies can get bids to dance with their favorite quidditch players at a Howlers-hosted "exclusive" quidditch party. I know we have a few quidditch-loving ladies out there Wink

❧ Apparently I'm on the embarrassing fund-raiser train, as I think it would be cool if the Howlers were forced to give quidditch practice to aspiring Youths in exchange for some cash.

❧ If Thom targets the Howlers with embarrassing advertisements, Handsome is 100% ready to start a war similar to the ones between college frat houses :P

I like two and four best!

Dezzie flat-out refuses to bail Declan out personally, so >.>

I like any of the above ideas! I had planned on him ignoring the letter, so his getting arrested is likely what would get the ball rolling. He gets bailed out by Mitch Quiddel and then they have to pay it off with heckling ads and fundraisers? I like Bree's idea of the team auction. Similar to a bachelor auction but to be VE appropriate they get a dance or get to hang out with them for a day, lessons, etc. whatever the purpose of the bidder is. They get them for 12 hours maybe? Chaperones etc. have to be worried about by the bidder.

^ That's my vote.
