Elsie chuckled quietly at his rambling. Gently she reached up with her free hand to run her fingers through his tousled hair. "Clearly we don't do anything properly, it's alright." They had been good for a while, but had gotten caught up in the desperation of waiting. Now they couldn't wait anymore. Elsie didn't need anything fancy in regards to a proposal or wedding; she just wanted him and eventually their little cottage and their little curly-haired Gryffindor-to-be. No matter what.

"Thank you," Though this wasn't the birthday she had envisioned, their surprise present wasn't any less wanted, not in Elsie's eyes, despite the terrible timing. It was a huge relief to know Tyb felt exactly the same. "Can I stay here tonight?" Els didn't want to go home and be alone with her thoughts tonight. Getting caught clearly didn't matter anymore and frankly in a couple night's time, this wouldn't even be a question.

Elsie’s hand carding through his hair was instantly soothing, as if she was undoing his earlier disaster of trying the same thing and only making himself more stressed. He breathed out slowly and smiled again, a quieter grin, letting the tiredness settle around them in the night.

“Of course,” he murmured, as if it had ever been a question, “I’d like that.” Tybalt wasn’t sure either of them would be able to sleep properly - not tonight, not with this looming over their heads - but he knew he had a better chance if she was here. She had always managed to still his thoughts, whether or not she knew it; nothing could feel quite as daunting when she was here.
