Brother,

If you must insist on being an insufferable ass, perhaps at least you could have the presence of mind not to do so quite so publicly. Black's is (as I should not need to remind you) the premier gentleman's club for men of our social caliber, and showing yourself to be an inconsiderate and tasteless cretin during its busiest time by accosting an established and well known member of society (not to mention a good friend of mine) is hardly something that will stay within the confines of a single conversation. I am absolutely appalled by your behavior. Mr. Echelon-Arnost's history is, frankly, none of your damn business — nor are the private tragedies of the Potter family — and even the ticks crawling over the Daily Prophet and calling themselves reporters had more respect than you showed in so callously accosting him the very day the news was made public.

Honestly, Albert, I would have expected that living at home with mother and father for so many years would have instilled some manners in you. Did you intentionally abandon them at the most inopportune time, or are you always this crass?

If you were a woman, I would have you forcibly sent to finishing school.

  1. You are not my father, nor do you support me as one. If you're looking for someone to baby, I'm sure Echelon-Arnost would gladly let you solve his problems for him, as evidenced by his tattling.
  2. I was not "callously accosting him". He asked my advice and I tried to be polite when giving it.
  3. You couldn't send me off if you tried; my life is none of your damn business. It stopped being your business when you removed David and I from our home.

Simply inheriting the family estate doesn't mean you're suddenly my boss. I have my own job, my own home, and my own life. You're not that important. Get over yourself.

xoxo,

Albert,

I may not be your father or your boss, but I am the head of the Pettigrew family, and you acting like a petulant child who never learned how to hold a civil conversation is my business, if you intend to do so while holding the Pettigrew name and thus drag our family's social reputation through the mud.

We already have Cousin Arthur; we hardly need you to disgrace us. Grow up.

Hardly. Better to marry late than in haste.
