You know that thing where sometimes I tell you my stupid problems and you pretend that they're important and then we talk about something else so that you can stop judging me for having stupid problems?

Stupid problem of the day: I think my husband needs a hobby. Or I need him to get a hobby so that I stop hovering over him and his wheelchair. You know? I need a better hobby than hovering! Hovering is only a few small steps from worrying, and worrying is not good for my marriage!

L,

I do miss when you sometimes write to me with your stupid problems. I'm always judging you though, even if we change the subject, it's what friends are for.

A hobby you say? Why are you hovering over his wheelchair, wasn't that supposed to give him a little more independence? Honestly, despite recent events, I would think you would want to spend a little more time together! As for a hobby I honestly don't know what men get up to in their spare time.

Maybe he should buy a quidditch team. I'm only kidding about that... mostly. Everybody in my life has some kind of attachment to the sport, so it's all I can really offer.

It's good to spend time together... except. Well. I'm just worried about what's going to happen if I stop hovering.

A Quidditch team would give him something to do... That's actually not a terrible idea, Rue.

L,

I really was kidding, does owning a quidditch team really count as a hobby? I feel like that's more like a job? I guess retirement isn't sitting well with him? He was heavily involved with a lot of things before he retired, he had something to do all the time. Make him play with Tulip and take her out, I find getting out of the house with the kids is a good way to spend time during the day. She would probably love getting a ride on the wheelchair.

Family picnics? Take Tulip to the zoo? A quidditch match? To play with her friends? There are lots of possibilities!

You're right - of course you're right - and I'm sure that once the season really takes off, both Quidditch and socially, I'll be much less stressed about it all.

Much Love,
L.
