Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Did you know? Jewelry of jet was the haute jewelry of the Victorian era. — Fallin
In this picture of the Lestrange vault that's at the WB Studio Tour you'll notice a box in the lower right hand corner labelled "1870". Lucius' dad was still the head of the fam then but I still like to believe that it contains some proof of an indiscretion perpetrated by one of the current on-site Lestranges and it's there as a means of blackmail.

WHAT COULD IT BE??
There's another one on the left wall that says 1813 o.o
I find it hard to send my MC/UC female students to careers after Hogwarts because I know that if I was comfortable MC/UC during that time, I would just get married and find my power on the social scene instead of in a career. I feel bad admitting it but I KNOW it's true. Maybe it's because I grew up impoverished, or maybe it's because I'm lazy. Probably both.

Same tbh. I'd study history/anthropology/etc, but I wouldn't be interested in having an actual job. xD

When I see a new lonely hearts letter posted in the letters forum, I stop and think "huh, I can't wait to see who that's for" before realizing about 20 seconds later that I have all the names of the receivers and it's my job to post them xD
I know very well that I can find a person's profile by tagging them in the post I'm working on, but I STILL go all the way to the Character Directory, CTRL+F their name, and then click on it.
I try to tag back in starters quickly because otherwise I forget about them, my thread log is the only thing standing between me and disaster at any time
This is like a cross between Charming Confessions and "You Know You're a Charming Addict When..." but I had a weird Charming dream recently where there was a trial, Cash Lestrange was the prosecuting attorney but was also in the midst of a mental breakdown (I mean, obviously, right?) and was interrogating Justin Ross as a witness, and even though it was playing out like a movie I was also weirdly aware that it was weird that two Beanie characters were having this very heated interaction since we mostly avoid threadding with our own characters.
Then I sent Beanie a whole series of lengthy skype posts about it at 4AM before I went back to sleep :P
There are several characters that I dream of returning to Charming because they were such an interesting concept or had a fantastic plot. Not even characters connected to my own. They just had something going, may or may not have gotten far in their plot. Just having this urge to read more about those characters and see where those plots would have gone had they continued to be played.
Every few months I go through periods where I'm obsessed with certain characters of mine, but sometimes I wish I could have like 7 or 8 characters so I could be obsessed with all of them at the same time. Whenever I even humor myself by trying to narrow them down in my head, I am unable to D<
I have a tendency to go way overboard with playing songs on repeat, like for days. It's gotten to a point where I've figured out that I can Pavlov's dog myself into posting certain characters by associating their muse with certain songs/albums and then playing them :P
It's even funnier because sometimes the songs have nothing to do with the character. Like ask me about how I associate Lach's muse with Taylor Swift's Lover album.
