Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1894. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.
Happy belated Christmas! My apologies for missing the holiday by a day, also for my extended silence all these months. You'll forgive me, I hope?
I only recently heard of your experience at the World Cup. Have you recovered? I've been recovering from ghastly injuries myself, so I hope you're doing well now. I mean this not in the slightest against you personally, but I sometimes feel healers enjoy watching their patients suffer.
We should meet up again sometime. Perhaps in the Hebrides? I've been instructed to avoid bars at present, otherwise I'd suggest our usual haunts.

Although her handwriting contains much of the same characteristics, it is now a much sloppier version. Some letters have random lines going through them as though the quill suddenly shifted mid-stroke.
What a lovely surprise! Of course I forgive you, Jo. My only strong emotions on the matter are concerns of your health and well-being. Are you quite alright? What injuries have you sustained and from whom/what?
Regarding my recoveries, the healers fixed me up and I was fit as a fiddle in no time, though my parents were extremely alarmed when they heard who'd inflicted the injury. If we derive any pleasure from healing, I should hope it's from the mere knowledge that we have helped the patient in some way or another. Though I really only speak for myself.
I'd love to catch up soon, as you're making me curiouser and curiouser, and that never resulted in anything good. Come up to the family home sometime, our drinks are as good as any. Send me your next available date, I look forward to hearing of your adventures!
Your friend,
Tilda

I'm relieved to know you've recovered well. Surely, your brother never meant to inflict harm upon you? Bludgers always seemed like such wild beasts to me. He hardly could've aimed directly for you?
As for my injury, it was a curse I sustained in Egypt. A particularly barbaric one, to use a friend's words. The curse was rigged to an explosion in a tomb caused by a shifting brick. The explosion alone would've sufficed in my opinion, seeing as I've been suffering from a severe head injury ever since. My head has gotten a bit better these last few weeks, but I still cannot go long in bright or loud environments. The curse took two of my fingers and left my hand permanently disfigured. Such luck I have, no?
I shall strive to visit the Hebrides sometime in the New Year.
