MC/UCAB | REP +7 | COMING OUT

What: Clarissa Cosgrove's Coming Out Ball
Who: Hosted by the Cosgrove parents for their daughter Clarissa Cosgrove. MC/UC men and women of good standing are invited.
Cost: N/A
Where: The Wellingtonshire Cosgrove Home which has been enchanted so that the main level is a lot larger than it seems upon entry.
Why: Clarissa is being plucked from the safety of the garden that is Pendergast School of Young Roses and thrust into society.
When: June 12th, 1890

Clarissa is being debuted into society with a ball that includes dinner beforehand. Guests may choose to only attend the ball if they so desire. Other Pendergast Roses (regardless of class!) are invited if the school will allow them to attend (aka check with Kayte - Kayte says they can attend!) and alums of the school are also invited. In honor of the school that she graduated from, the event will have a tasteful roses and florals theme.

BY INVITATION | WEDDING

What: The Wedding of Claudius Lestrange & Ellory Pendergast
Who: Hosted by Evelyn Pendergast to celebrate the wedding of her sister, Ellory, to her cousin Mr. Claudius Lestrange. The guest list is extensive, but those without an invitation on their person will not be able to enter the premises. Literally. They will be magically blocked.
Cost: Decorum dictates a gift.
Where: The Abercrombie estate in Southampton {Britain}
Why: Weddings.
When: June 9th

The wedding itself will take place in what was a chapel when muggles owned the property three generations ago, but walls and roof have been long since been turned to glass, making it a beautiful, but sweaty, crystalline structure. The ceremony will be followed by a family-only luncheon in the dining room.

Most notably, the reception! A ball will be held in the ballroom (go figure), spilling out onto a large terrace overlooking a hedge maze. Though the happy couple will depart quite publicly around midnight, attendees are welcome to enjoy the festivities until dawn.

What: Hawaii/Britain Quidditch Watch Party
Who: Thom hosting. Established friends of Thom/Hannah or UCPB/UCHB Rep 8+ ; adult and fully human only.
Cost: N/A.
Where: Private box at Portree stadium.
Why: Quidditch.
When: June 27th

This is a dual purpose event for watching Quidditch and flaunting the Pettigrew's wealth. As such, the box is somewhere between a viewing box and a gentleman's club: comfortable seating near the front window, announcer sound piped in to the box, room to ~mingle for those who aren't super interested in the game, refreshments at the back. They have enough food/drink to last the match provided it wraps within 24 hours.

Who: Anyone of acceptable social standing shall be allowed entry to the reception, however only family and friends of immediate family are welcome to the ceremony.
Cost: N/A
Where: Naomi Hertz's current estate
Why: Marriage is convenient, yo.
When: June 24, 1890 - Wednesday, the best day of all

The whole event shall be rather traditional, although one might notice that there are plenty art displays throughout the room, painted by the grooms eldest daughter.

BY INVITATION | WEDDING

What: The Wedding of William Pendergast and Cornelia Lestrange.
Who: Hosted by Mr. Lucius Lestrange to celebrate the wedding of his daughter, Cornelia, to her cousin Mr. William Pendergast. The guest list is extensive, but those without an invitation on their person will not be able to enter the premises. Literally. They will be magically blocked.
Cost: Decorum dictates a gift.
Where: The Lestrange estate {Elsewhere}
Why: Weddings.
When: June 24th

The wedding ceremony will take place in the entry hall, and is restricted to the immediate family/households of the bride and groom.

This will be followed by a garden party reception on the grounds of the estate. Weather charms have, of course, been employed, but there are one or two errant rain clouds floating about making a nuisance of themselves. Lawn games such as badminton, croquet, etc. have been set up, as has a picnic luncheon.

Guests will dissipate by early evening, to return just after dusk for a starlit, outdoor ball. The weather will now be cooperating in full, and a wooden dance-floor with levitating orbs of light has been constructed where earlier there were outdoor tables and picnic blankets. Midnight fireworks will mark the departure of the new Mr. and Mrs. Pendergast to consummate their marriage.

What: The debute of Miss Liliana Selwyn Sponsered by the Countess of Addinbury

Who: It is hosted by Countess Addinbury (Gwendolyn Vane-Tempest) on behalf of Miss Selwyn.  UC are invited, 6+ because she is a 'natrual child.'  AB. 

Cost: None
Where: Tempest Park, the families ancestral seat.  The event will take place in a room known as the 'Long Gallery'.  The music will be provided by a famous magical painting which will provide music for dancing.
Why: Countess Addinbury is sponsoring the social season of @'Liliana Selwyn'
When: 15th June

The event will be themed around 'great art' - guests are expected to come in styalised versions of famous works of art.  Miss Selwyn will be a Starry Night (FYI).  There will be no real servants, just sculptures enchanted to act as servers.  Magical portrait painters will be on hand to paint guests, as well as magical candid photography of the event.

What: Splash at the Sanditon!
Who: Hosted by @"Helga Scamander" (& probably her eldest married sister). Young MC/UC debutantes, and other friends of Helga's, are invited to attend. No men have been invited!
Cost: No cost!
Where: The Sanditon Resort, on the waterfront!
Why: Helga is scoping out the new debutantes on the scene under the guise of making friends.
When: June 13th, mid-afternoon.

Finding husbands is so demanding, and every young lady deserves a break from time-to-time! Helga invites your young debutantes to attend her tea party on the waterfront to socialize with other ladies without the performative BS associated with being around men. A part of the waterfront has been sectioned off with charms so men are incapable of happening upon them. Sandwiches, tea, and cookies from all corners of magical Britain will be served. Girls are encouraged to bring their bathing suits and splash around in the water. Helga will be looking for new friends—and new foes.

What: Australian Themed House Party @ Claude & Ellory Lestrange's
Who: Hosted by Ellory and Claude Lestrange. Invited are their siblings, cousins, friends and Antigone and Tib because they can't NOT invite them and because Ellory thinks she'll make Tig jealous with all the stuff she brought from Australia.
Cost: Nope!
Where: Claude's house in Wellingthonshire
Why: So Ellory can invite all of her friends (and Antigone and Tib) and show off a bunch of stuff she brought from Australia.
When: June 23rd.

Due to their siblings' wedding, Ellory and Claude had more of a honeytwoweek. Ellory decided to host a house party to... welcome herself and her husband home, on the 23rd. She's bringing back a wallaby, a koala, and a bunch of supposedly indigenous Australian people's items, both muggle and magical alike. The entire sitting room will be transformed into a museum exhibition of sorts.

Unbeknown to Claude, Ellory is also bringing home a billywig that will get loose and cause chaos.
