FREDERICK TOWNSEND

Sarah and I both need some more angst and drama in our RP plots, hence Fred here! He and Sarah have been married since 1879, and what felt like a happily ever after has been slowly disintegrating around them. Sarah loves him, but she is also desperate to have children and one of them is infertile (spoiler alert: it's Frederick). When things got strained between them, Frederick also started very unsubtly sleeping around, something the neighbours have probably picked up on now. So things are increasingly falling apart. Frederick, himself, is charming enough that you mostly forget he's also kind of an insensitive jerk. He is more assertive but less responsible than Sarah, and works in a non-Ministry job, maybe as a manager/employee on the High Street or a reporter/photographer for the Daily Prophet (or something else WC appropriate, bearing in mind he would not have stayed at Hogwarts past his OWLs). Basically, their marriage is already messy and bound to get messier: whether it even lasts at all is up to whoever takes him, but you should be open to the possibility of further rep drops. Lee Pace is the pictured face but I'm open to alternatives.

Clementine Rookwood is the sister of Justice Rookwood. Born in early 1873, Clementine begin school with her elder brother and was sorted into Hufflepuff. A sweet girl with a stunningly pretty face, it is only their opposing sexes that kept them from being close as children. In recent years, however, she's begun to blossom into a young lady rather than a little girl, earning her recognizable attention the male population at Hogwarts. This, unsurprisingly, has caused Justice to go from "pleasantly-distant-but-there-when-you-need-him" brother mode to "I'm-watching-you-and-everyone-who-looks-at-you-two-seconds-too-long" mode.

She was (appropriately) dismayed by her parents' death, but was even more dismayed—even to the point of bursting into tears—by the public's insinuation that her mother had committed murder before taking her own life. She is not well-suited to academics, but has found a place in the Hogwarts social scene. She is uneasy about their new home, preferring to stay at Hogwarts during holidays where it's permitted.

The eldest of the Fudge brood, Somersby has generally an open personality, with the caveat that he (wisely) keeps any ass-like characteristics he might have from his parents. He has accompanied his father on international procurement trips for the menagerie, and has an affinity for magical creatures (though whether he’s INTERESTED is up to you). Perfect for those looking for a fairly open character with existing, played ties on-board!  He is offended by Herbert's joking attitude toward his death, putting a bit of a gap in their relationship. The suggested PB is Landon Liboiron. Somersby was born in 1871 and had his first act of magic in 1874. He is in Ravenclaw house and is close friends with Ben Turner, who he awkwardly asks questions about coping with ghost parents.

Her relationship with her stepdaughters has always been strained, as neither rushed to welcome her as a mother. After a stillbirth in 1884, that strain bloomed between Usti and her husband as well—though she thought they married for love, she knew now that on his end, it was simply lust. She has a few close friends in Hogsmeade, though is hindered by the fact that she still speaks only broken English. She does not suspect that their lodger is anything more than that—but this is likely to change ;)

Daughter of the British (magical) Liaison to Morocco, ----- and Inès quickly hit it off because of a shared love of society and pretty things and going to functions. Okay, it’s not a particularly deep friendship, but ----- would trust Inès with her life, and it’s mutual enough that Inès was willing to hop on a boat and sail over when asked. It probably helps that Inès procured her blissfully happy marriage.

She lived in Morocco from sometime in 1885 until returning home to England just before Christmas. Upon her arrival, she was so distressed by her childhood bestie’s lack of romance or even prospects that she decided to arrange for Inès to come over and work her magic once more!

Davinder spent all of the life he can remember in a Punjabi (muggle) orphanage before being scooped up by Mayfield Fairchild in the autumn of 1886 and deposited in the Fairchilds' Irvingly home like an awkward Christmas gift. Due to the regulations surrounding proof of humanity, he was unable to attend Hogwarts when his birthday would have allowed, and so will be attending this year at the age of 12. He still speaks in broken English, and Temperance uses a mixture of corporal punishment and general intimidation to beat the English (culture AND language) into him. Suggested PB is Sunny Pawar. There are THINGS but you don't get to know them yet. Rep of 5 because of the aforementioned English woes and he's probably a bastard.

Chrysanta "Chrystie" Lestrange (née Scrimgeour) is the mother of Violetta Lestrange. Born in 1834, Chrysanta attended Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin. She was always an upstanding young woman with with a knack for understanding people and their needs. After graduating from Hogwarts, Chrysanta was courted by and eventually married Aurelius Lestrange sometime between 1853-1855. The couple struggled to conceive for nearly a decade.

While the birth of Violetta — a daughter rather than a son — damaged their relationship, it was the loss of their stillborn son in 1872 that put the nail in the coffin. Chrysanta and her husband, while still giving off the appearance of a healthy marriage in the public eye, often pretend the other doesn't exist while at home. The one hope that remains in Chrysanta's heart is that her daughter will find happiness in her own life, but that hope has begun to fade in recent years.

Cupcake Whitledge, affectionately referred to as "Duckie", is the fraternal twin sister of Handsome Whitledge. Born on December 29, 1869, Cupcake attended Hogwarts and was sorted into Gryffindor alongside her twin brother. Always the optimist, Cupcake was one of the few Whitledge siblings to embrace her name, taking on baking as a hobby. The only problem? She's awful with the oven, though none of her siblings have had the heart to tell her yet.

She's always been (unsurprisingly) closest with her brother, though has always avoided family drama to the best of her ability. After graduation, it's likely she'll pursue the path of a debutante; however, she remains unconvinced that getting married is something to stress over.

Cole is well known among his brothers as being best at keeping a secret and always being the mediator of any family disputes. He certainly puts off a laid back and chill sort of vibe. He did not receive his OWLs and is far from a leader type, preferring to defer to his older brothers.

Herb Backus is the smart one of the family, like stupid smart. He has more brain smarts than street smarts and often says things without actually thinking of their consequences. He often seems to live in his own little world and, as such, is oblivious to the girls having received such an inheritance though it likely wouldn’t have phased him anyways. He's likely unphased by the news of Maggie's elopement and probably shrugged it off when Maddie told him about it.

Though their contact was tentative at first, over the three and a half years since they have begun to develop affection for one another once more. Clifford moved into his own residence after his father’s passing, and remains on good terms with his brother and mother—largely because they don’t know he’s in contact with Elinor. Clay is the one brother to dream big and to actually attain said dreams. Always the adventurous sort, he jumped at the chance to be an apprentice or lackey to a researcher of sorts that traveled about the world well before his OWLs. Turns out, he's been nothing more than a glorified caddy and simply totes around the heavy things. He doesn't seem to mind though since he still gets to travel the world. His basic needs are seen to by his sponsor while they're traveling but he would need to have another job when he isn't traveling. Chances are he's become a phenomenal pickpocket and often puts on airs of being a debonair society man when out and about. Likely something of a lush and the most likely of his brothers to follow in their father's steps of being an alcoholic.


SHERRY "SHER" JEWELL

Sherry tends to be a good mix of her sisters and has a carefree and fun sort of demeanor but is also very kind and always gives a compliment where she sees fit. She has one more year at school but even then has no big plans to marry right away as she actually shows quite the interest in the inner workings of the distillery. She was the one to suggest the cherry infused firewhiskey, dubbed Sher Firewhiskey, and has proven to have quite the chemist's type of brain.

She’s quite happy Fletcher has found a woman for himself but her opinions of Eavan are totally up to the player. Her feelings on being a debutante and her mother’s schemes being turned to her are also up to the player!

While the rumours of her indiscretion have never been proven—nor has such indiscretion been repeated, not on her mother’s watch!—it has not helped matters. Problem is, he's always had a liking for her and has been a bit jealous Gregory was the one that got to marry her. She's never given him much notice beyond being a brother in law until now. She's well aware of how attractive he is and has started wondering what it would have been like had she been stuck married to him instead of Gregory. Kenton is the total opposite of his brother in personality and can be a bit outspoken and is most certainly confident. I certainly see some potential for plotting murder either simply on his part in hopes of getting the girl and the money or even a combined planning between him and Phoebe.

Flo initially comes off as very sweet and kind but is most certainly a force to be reckoned with. She's not one to be taken lightly, especially where her children are concerned. She fell in love with Sterling after meeting him at school and that love has never faded. She runs a tight ship within the family and even ensures the accounting of the company is kept with perfection. Her kids are her pride and joy but that won't stop her from reprimanding them if she feels the need. She's also been known to meddle in their romantic affairs. Her cameo is featured on the bottle of Flo Firewhiskey which is infused with honey, Sterling's fist flavored firewhiskey.

During the school year, he attends Hogwarts with his jail keeper, but is not happy about it. He has a habit of biting people.

The youngest child of Brandon and Elizabeth Carmichael, George was born between September 2nd and 30th of 1866. While at Hogwarts, he was in not Ravenclaw, but he now works under Sydney Podmore at St Mungo's, where a coworker has caught his eye and he’s not quite ruled out convincing them to run away with him. Like his siblings, George made the Unbreakable Vow never to reveal his sister’s secret, but has often felt that keeping it quiet isn’t the most useful thing that can be done for her. Helping her dispose of a body might have been, though. The suggested PB is Miles Teller.

FROM LYNN: -- de Vries is a MCAB wizard born before 1851. He has some distant family in England, which lead to his being in the country long enough to meet and court Nicolina Dippet prior to marrying her in 1881. Their marriage didn't last long, as she ran away from him about a year later and he claimed she was dead in order to save face. He has since returned to England, but when and why is up to you. He may have career interests or investments here, or may be looking to acquire another wife since he's presented as a widower. He may or may not be in touch with Ophelia Devine since she's technically rich now and he has quite a bit of reputation-ruining dirt on her family.

He does not know that Nicky is back in the country, and probably won't be pleased to learn she's alive at all - and most certainly won't be pleased to hear that there is a child he was never aware of.

Henrietta - who usually tends to go by "Henry" - was the least satisfied by getting no real answers about Aubrey's disappearance, but, as a kid, was not equipped to do much about it at the time. Still, she may well have had her own theories about what became of him, and a general ~amateur detective streak. Like the rest of her sisters, however, she didn't make it to OWLs, and also works as a maid. She could, for example, double up as "Abigail"!

LYCORIS WORDSWORTH DEMPSEY

Lycoris is the baby of the family. Pretty and cheerful, she seems kind of normal, which is - well, surprising in their family. Lycoris once startled the family by trolling two of her O.W.L.s but passing all the rest; after graduating Hogwarts, she was probably sent to PSYR for some finishing, a fate passed on from her sister Shalott. (Whether Shalott is any more finished from it is... arguable, so Lowri is waiting with bated breath to see if Lycoris proves an exception.)

[s]Having always been spoiled, she has surpirsingly not let it go to her head. Having always eagerly spent time with her mother, loosing her has been terribly dreadful for her. Along with other loss in the family, Ace has taken up the task of trying to help her cope with all of this loss.

Her first sign of magic happened in 1878, which her seer grandmother (as well as her seer sister, Avril) then predicted that she would one day become a powerful witch. Hey, two seers saying the same thing must make it true, right?

Though she was told that her father was a werewolf, she never believed it, and the rest of the family never corrected her. Her best friend is her cousin Fleur, and one could say that they act more like siblings than cousins.

"Gideon" is the best friend of Justice Rookwood. Born between 1872-1873, Gideon began his schooling in September of 1884 and was sorted into Ravenclaw. While not prejudiced, Gideon is quick to make judgments — especially when he perceives someone as a threat. Has always considered himself a surrogate brother for the brother-less Justice, and often jokes that he'll end up married to Faye one day.

More of a jock than an academic, he could likely play (or try out!) for the Ravenclaw team. His intellect  comes in the form of witty humor and clever ways to get himself out of trouble.
