Emmett didn't frequent Hogsmeade much anymore, but rather thought he ought to at least show his face at his mother's house every once in a while, lest she show up at the ministry to ensure he was indeed, alive and well. He had gotten out of work and left via the Hogsmeade entrance, but was a little early and he didn't want to show up and give his mother too much time to fawn and worry over him. It was a little bit too much these days. He had reached an age and position in life where he could start looking for a wife, and she had seen to his attendance this season, but Em would be the first to admit he was glad that was over for the year and he could focus on quidditch instead.

He had stopped at the Florist Potts to kill some time and pick up three bouquets, one for his mother and one for each of his sisters, hoping to win their favor. He could be a bit of a schmooze when he wanted to and if it got his siters to help with his mother, the better for it. Whichever pretty Potts lady it was behind the till today had put together three lovely bouquets, all somehow cohesive, yet different and frankly Emmett didn't know what he was looking at, but they were sure to be enjoyed by the women in his family. He said as much as he was heading out, waving as he stepped out onto the street. He checked his pocket watch and debated stopping by the sweetshop as well, but ultimately decided against it. If he strolled leisurely, it wouldn't be egregiously early and he could survive.

Setting out toward Wellingtonshire and his parents' estate, Emmett cradled the flowers close to his chest. As he rounded the fountain near the crossroads, he saw a young woman and on a whim, pulled one of the lilies (he thought?) from the top bouquet, careful not to upset it too much and held it out with a smile. "A little pick-me-up?"

Zenny did not know exactly when she was heading home to America but for the moment, she was still here. Her friends and herself were having such a grand time of things. Zenny wanted to see what they did when the season was winding down. Besides, she had made new friends among the locals and some of those friends were getting married and the like. It would be such a shame to miss out on everything due to being in another country far away!

With her ever-present parasol perched on her shoulder, Zenny was taking a walk, the maid acting as her chaperone today trailing lazily behind her. Zenny was not in a rush to be anywhere and was doing her best to take in everything since she would soon be leaving it all. She was near a fountain when a man who currently had an armload of flowers held out a flower to her.

"Why thank you, darling. I do so love flowers," Zenny said, her Southern Belle accent clear in every syllable that came out of her mouth.

Emmett grinned, both at the reception of the flower and the woman's accent. That had been unexpected, but now he was both amused and intrigued. "Happy to be of assistance." He passed her a charming smile, adjusting the flowers in his arms so that he wasn't crushing them, nor would they slip from his grasp. "I believe it is a lily, but I am also afraid my knowledge of such things is limited. I need to open a book more often." Emmett did not often have time to read for pleasure, and when he did, it was typically more about quidditch than anything else. Ember and Elsa were working on getting him a little more familiarized with the language of flowers, given he was at an age where he should be paying calls, but he was still a work in progress.

Zenny giggled a bit as the man professed to needing to open a book more often. "It depends on their colour but in general they tend to mean purity and innocence," Zenny shared, remembering what she had learned at finishing school. "Though I have a feeling such descriptors don't fit you." She was teasing and it showed in her amused smile.

Emmett absorbed the young lady's information on the lilies, but put his free hand to his heart at her second comment. "You wound me, milady, I am I gentleman through and through." Mostly. His brand of debauchery was mostly drinks at the club with friends over games of cards. Compared to some of his peers, he was an absolute angel. "And after I gave you such a lovely flower." He feigned hurt with a little pout.

Zenobia chuckled as the gentleman put his hand to his heart. "My apologies, dear sir. Pray tell, how can I make it up to you?" She asked with a smile as she twirled the lily between her fingers.

"I think it is only fair that I learn your name in an unconventional twist of an introduction," Emmett feigned seriousness, nodding gravely as if it was the only remedy. Perhaps that was not so gentlemanly as he was trying to portray, but mostly harmless. Proper introductions, though he understood their necessity with two younger sisters, one of whom was now out in society, he rather thought situations like this were not all that bad.  Then again, since he knew his own intentions were good, that bias might be askew.
