A Little Inspiration

Tuni,

I hope London is treating you well, I always operate on "no news is good news" so this is me assuming you've just been busy the last few days. Have you heard back from the museum at all? I've enclosed a book* for your amusement. I will warn you, it gets a little racy toward the end, but it's not a bad read if you don't take it seriously. It was given to me recently, but I've finished it, so I thought I'd pass it along.
Yours,
Febs

*the book is the one described here

Febs,

First, firewhiskey is an awful, horrible substance. Why on Earth would anyone drink it willingly? It causes the most awful headaches.

Second, where on Earth did you get that book and was it enchanted to make a person lose all sense of propriety?

Tuni,

Firewhiskey is delicious and you should never speak ill of it. However if you have too much, it will come back to bite you in the ass. Did you have a good night the included whiskey then?

I'm not telling, not in a letter anyway, you'll have to wait and find out when you come home. I believe we should have our own night of firewhiskey. I have stories for you.

Should I be concerned about the combination of whiskey and losing your sense of propriety? What has London done to you? I wish you'd taken me with you, more than you could ever know.
Affectionately,
Febs

Febs,

It was quite delicious. Especially with these amazing cookies I found from a bakery in Diagon Alley. However, that was a major problem apparently. Especially when a shirtless man is the one that greets you at the door and hands you the bottle.

Merlin's beard, Febs, I don't even know where to start! Damn this fog and damn our separate locations. I have so much to tell you I'm not even sure I should write it all out in a letter!

Tuni,

There's shirtless men involved?! You're more scandalous than I am and my adventures to the hospital in my nightgown are not even the worst thing I've done lately! Please at least tell me Mr. Bixby was involved, because I can't see you with multiple men in your life darling.

Yes I agree, though these are conversations better left to a night in and lots and lots of time to share. I hope you're feeling alright today, a pepperup potion should help any lingering hangover.
Best of luck,
Febs

Febs,

He was. But not at first. His roommate and teammate answered the door. I was just bringing cookies by but.. Yes, we need a night together to talk. He did at least put a shirt on at one point. But Rufus didn't show up until after the bottle was nearly empty.

I'll see if Eliza can manage to scrounge one up for me. The light and being on my feet does not help so I'm quite content to stay here in my bed.

Tuni,

Oh sweets, we need to work on your drinking stamina. This I can help with. Drink some tea and rest, it isn't as if you have a lot to do over there, unless you've started at the museum already? Aside from trekking down to Ollivanders to have my broken wand looked at, I've been in bed all day sending letters and reading. This fog is going to drive me to drink, along with my mother, I swear. It's the worst cabin fever I've ever had.

Feel better, try and eat a little. I know it sounds unappealing, but it'll help.
Best of luck,
Febs

Febs,

I actually have started working. I started that next day. It's helped to pass the time, honestly. But, luckily, I was off through the weekend and today. I go back tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have kicked this by then.

How did you manage to break your wand? It sounds like you're still managing to keep things exciting amidst the fog. At least on occasion.

I'll send Eliza out to get something. I'll have her pick up something extra from the bakery I told you about. The cookies really are that amazing.

Tuni,

I fell. Andromeda was on the stairs and I didn't see her, in an attempt to avoid stepping on her, I fell up the stairs and landed rather roughly with my wand on my person. Mr. Ollivander thinks he can repair it, when magic works again. It feels incredibly odd to not have my wand on me, even if it's useless in this fog.

Oh it's Rufus now is it?

Please share some cookies if you get some, I could use a little something new in my day.
Fondly,
Febs

Febs,

Tell me about this Mr. Ollivander. I've heard good things of him. Perhaps he could be a good distraction for you stuck in Hogsmeade. I also hope poor Adromeda is okay!

And yes, Rufus. I told you, there's lots to tell.

Eliza ran by the bakery for me. Brought home some rolls and they have helped some. I'm sending along a package of the cookies. This Magdalena is quite an artist as well. Just look at how realistic the cookies look as flowers. When I marry, she'll be the one I hire.

Tuni,

Mr. Ollivander is quite skilled at flirting, though I will tell you my attention is thoroughly captured elsewhere... I just needed to get out of the house and apparently it took a broken wand to do so. A little harmless flirting is good for a girl, a nice ego boost, but it doesn't compare to other such activities.

Thank you for the cookies, they are quite delicious. They could rival Mrs. Harding's, but I would never tell her that and I'm hiding them in my room so I don't have to share. When you get married hmm? Does Rufus have a chance then?
Fondly,
Febs

Febs,

Oh, don't tell me the stuffy auror has somehow managed to capture your attention! I thought he was awful! Clearly we need this chat sooner rather than later somehow. Have you any way to get to London? My father got me rooms while I'm stuck here and Eliza is with me so it isn't completely improper. We could get you your job at the same time!

And yes, he most certainly has a chance. If he were to ask me to elope while we were here in London, I might seriously take him up on it. Though, I'm certain he's far too much of a gentleman to even suggest a thing.

Tuni,

I did tell you the hospital was not my most wild adventure recently... I suppose I didn't tell you the ending of the kitchen story. That will be where I begin when we get together next. It's quite the tale, I promise you. I unfortunately have no way to get to London, as I can't pass on the train except for emergency. I should have said something sooner though, I have family there, should you need new lodgings at any point. Believe me, I have more than one reason to want to be in London right about now.

I would certainly be very affronted if you eloped without telling me or at least letting me witness before you leave on some whirlwind adventure! How rude!
Fondly,
Febs

Febs,

I do think I'll be alright. My father has seen to a set of rooms for Eliza and I. As long as the fog doesn't last forever, they'll do. If it does though, you'll need to find a way here. I don't want to be stuck in London without a friend.

And I'll try not to elope until you can be here. I'd need a witness after all and while Eliza would work, it would be far more joyous with you around.

Tuni,

Alright, let me know if anything changes. If this fog lasts much longer I may just make it so they have to take me to St. Mungo's somehow! It's really a hindrance to my life right now!

I appreciate your forethought on eloping, I promise to do the same for you. I would never want that big fancy wedding, let's be honest here. What an adventure it would be! I hope you're feeling well, get some rest tonight, I'll check on you in the morning. Sweet dreams!
Fondly,
Febs
