Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Did You Know?
Did you know? Jewelry of jet was the haute jewelry of the Victorian era. — Fallin
Darling, I hope that your first night at Hogwarts was everything you hoped! I'm writing this letter during your first night, so that our owl will drop it off at Hogwarts for you tomorrow morning.
Which house were you sorted into? Have you made any friends yet? You shall have to tell me everything; I miss you already. Please also let me know if there is anything you left at home, as I will send it to you. Your younger brother & your father say hello as well; I am of course sending another letter to Harriet.
I got your letter this morning just as you expected. Thank you for writing.
My first night went well. The Sorting Hat put me in Ravenclaw, and while the common room is very nice and I enjoy having a view of the grounds from Ravenclaw tower, I think the other Ravenclaws in my year are too much for me. One of them threw a tantrum at the sorting ceremony and then something happened last night that got forty points taken away from us. I think it was a fight.
A few of the boys are nice. I suppose I will do my best to befriend them.
I have everything I need, I think. I will let you know if that changes.
Ravenclaw! That is a very respectable house — your uncle Edwin was a Ravenclaw, and he is one of my very favorite people.
Which of the new students threw a tantrum? I suppose she must have been overwhelmed — and a fight? Fighting is much worse news - you must promise me to stay out of any fights!
You're sure you don't need anything? Also, please let me know the houses of your cousins Philippa and Forsythia.
