THIS IS — VERONICA;
Veronica Gallivan 34 | mcpb rep » 8 | "widowed" ravenclaw | class of '77 Owner of Quality Quidditch Supplies ❧ | ~ You ever had a friend who even after they leave a room, there's still a bit of chaotic energy swirling around where they used to be standing? Well, that used to be Veronica Gallivan née Scamander. Now she's a very mild-tempered woman who very rarely seems to be perturbed by anything, at least outwardly so (at home that's a different story). That might be due to the fact that she found out her husband is a werewolf just before he exiled himself and prevented her from following after him. Emotionally, from marrying into an already established family to having said family being torn apart by the aforementioned piece of news, Veronica has been through the wringer and is finally ready to adjust to life. Life, of course has entirely different plans for her. FRIENDS/FORMER CLASSMATES: Long-time friends and former classmates of Veronica will remember her as an energetic young woman who was always trying to convince them into being testing subjects for her various experiments. They would also remember Veronica ending up in the hospital as a result of being her own testing subject for the more...eccentric inventions. Most of them involved Quidditch supplies, and sometimes all of her testing subjects ended up in the Hospital Wing. Heh. FAMILY: Calling all Scamanders, Scamanders adjacent (Crouches?) and Gallivans! I'd love to backdate some threads, especially to flesh out what happened around the time that she found out Nathaniel was a werewolf, and also when he left. Y'all might have had to pick up the pieces of this poor woman's heart xDD HOGSMEADE SHOPOWNERS: In 1888, Veronica came into ownership of Quality Quidditch Supplies. While having a great affection for the shop, it did not come by her in a way that she wanted. She keeps the shop up to date for the sake of her family and for her husband, but the way in which she came to own the shop has left a bit of a sour taste in her mouth. At first, she likely would have avoided going into the shop as much as possible, and only when necessary. Lately, however, she's warmed up and drops in every once in a while. Given that they live in Hogsmeade, I imagine Vera's become quite acquainted with the other shop owners in the town! HURLS-ish: LMAO how much time do you have? JK it's not that long. Her husband exiled himself but Vera's not allowed to reveal that and has to act like a proper widow, even though it gave her extreme grief to do so. She knows he's out there somewhere, but hasn't heard from him since and is now starting to think that it might be time to move on. Even so, she's extremely cautious about doing so given the last time she married into a family, she was given no small amount of hostility from some of her step-children. Imagine how they might feel if she starts to court someone when their father is known amongst them to be alive? Either way, Vera most certainly doesn't want to move on, but is starting to feel like she might have to eventually. Could that be in the form of someone courting her briefly before they stopped? Could it be perhaps that she may be developing (slight) feelings for someone else, but is afraid to let it go any further? I'm open to ideas! |
