Appearance: Yarrow is just a tiny bit over 5'9'' as he likes to tell himself, because he is sadly not the tallest Macnair brother. His body has a bit of an athleticism to it, because he used to play Quidditch at Hogwarts and still does some sports following his graduation. The most distinct thing about his appearance is his nose which is rather large and sharp. He has straight black hair and grayish eyes. He's right handed and dresses in primarily dark colours.
History:
1868. Yarrow Seth Macnair was born on a hot July morning. He wasn't very social as a child and never grew close to any of his siblings; Valerian and the twins were too "old" and Germander and Sage too "young". Germander was the siblings closest in age to him so they were naturally paired together but their personalities crashed too much. Overall, Yarrow was the sort of bratty child who only really hanged out with other bratty children.
1879 . Yarrow is sorted into the Slytherin house. He keeps to the upper class, pureblood circles. Many of his friends are in fact his cousins.
1882. In his fourth year, Yarrow joins the Slytherin Quidditch team as a chaser. He also becomes involved with a classmate, Miss Fflur Hopkins, a lower class girl in the same year and house as him.
1883. Yarrow returns for his fifth year as a prefect. In December, he loses his virginity to Fflur.
February, 1884. After a false pregnancy scare, Yarrow does what he thinks best for him and breaks things with Fflur. She then writes to his mother, who is furious to find out about their "affair". Yarrow swears an Unbreakable Vow to marry a pureblood his parents approve of.
June, 1886. Yarrow graduates from Hogwarts. He doesn't really have any career aspirations, except to do something important sounding, which doesn't however require a lot of work. His important cousins find him a position in the Department of Magical Co-Operation.
July, 1887 and onwards. Yarrow is fired from the Department of International Magical Co-Operation after he talks back to his superior. It really is a wonder he made it a year in the Department, as he is not the type of person to be dealing with matters of international diplomacy.
He moves departments and joins the Broom Regulatory Control Office, which is a way better fit for him, because he enjoys starting a collection of brooms that don't pass the regulatory checks. He is also the sort of employee to accept favours in order to overlook some tiny details in new brooms that don't quite fit the safety regulations.
At some point he has a one night stand with a married woman who may or may not have been Ursula Black.
Valerian marries Tatiana Lestrange, something that doesn't surprise Yarrow as it is well known that Cousin Tatiana was their mother's favourite, the daughter she never had.
Personality: Sigma. Patrick Bateman would be unironically his favourite character and he'd be blissfully unaware that the movie was directed by a woman and meant to be a satire. Materialistic. Wants to be successful but generally unwilling to put in the effort. Hedonistic. Easily manipulated.
Other: Yarrow has sworn and Unbreakable Vow to marry a pureblood that is his social peer.
