UC Family Wanted
#1
Natal family of UCHB wanted for a married socialite (b. 1862) who graduated in 1880 and married in 1885, having two children. Largely open for family details, no current scandals. Likely needs to be open for future scandal for plot reasons, so make connections at your character's own risk. Face claim is open.

Personality: Cunning, ambitious, clever - any 'down to earth' behavior is not entirely genuine. Cares about family, but more in a superficial way than anything else.

Magic by MJ

Margaret Clark has an open family so she could have an older sister!

Greybacks are UCHB too but you'd have to ask Dante if it would work with your character... and there's the whole secret werewolf pack thing which may not be the vibe you're looking for xD but Alasdair Greyback was b. 1863 so would be the closest sibling in age if Dante is cool with it.

Set by Lady!

Yeah room for a sister to Murdock, Alasdair and Merida. The deal with the sisters is that their spouses must not be told the family secret. The women are also encouraged to either become - or at least try to become an animagus but if she married within a year or two of finishing her education she might not have bothered.

Since her siblings know her well enough Murdock may have insisted she take an unbreakable vow just to keep her in line, like the women who marry in - which I guess could make her a little tetchy with them! lol!

Roles in the Plot

To follow up with the preexisting posts, I suppose I should announce that I, Elaine, will be playing Kelly's character's husband in this plot! And the plan is for things to get pretty violent. As I shared as one point with a couple other players, I am bringing in a new, male, villain archetypal character, based on Scar from The Lion King, and he will be debuting sometime this month, alongside his wife, Kelly's character. Kelly's character, Vivienne, will be an older sister to Miss Margaret Clark Fortitude Greengrass while my character, Orpheus, will be part of a new household I've entitled the Newberry family. They are not a pureblood family, but they are quite wealthy. With that, we also would like to note that we are seeking other played characters for this plot, as well as some new characters, who will have short blurb details listed below!

The Villains
Orpheus & Vivienne Newberry

"Melissa" Newberry
b. 1860 | 9
Not Slytherin class of '78 | UCAB
open pb

Wife of Orpheus's brother Ajax, the firstborn son, the heir, "Melissa" was devastated when, after her first child, she learned she would never have another. But she had produced an heir for her husband, and that was what mattered. "Melissa" and Achilles may have been either arranged or a romantic match.

Diomedes Newberry
b. 1883 | ??
Unknown class of '01 | UCHB
open pb

Heir of the firstborn son, Diomedes is but a child, and has not fully grown into himself. He is this plotline's Simba, and his name is relatively fixed given the Newberry family's naming conventions. After Achilles dies, Diomedes will be under the effects of a strong Memory Charm. While Diomedes has an open play-by, he should at least be half-white.

Law Enforcement

At some point in time, this murderous duo's activity will be discovered, though we would like to keep them from being caught immediately. That being said, it makes perfect sense for an auror to be involved in this plot, seeking the source of these strange occurances. This plot section is open to any played auror, but with that, we'd rather not limit it just to aurors, and as such, other law enforcement employees can gladly get involved.

Victims

Orpheus and Vivienne are not indiscriminate killers. They need a reason to bring someone's life to an end — such as with Orpheus's elder brother Ajax — even if that reason is small and petty. Orpheus's initial motivator is greed, but his wife may talk him into some more....ambitious ends. These individuals can be temporary or existing characters you're ready to see off to the other side.

Faithful Staff

The chances of Orpheus and Vivienne succeeding with their schemes without accomplices is very slim. As such, we are also seeking unscruprulous household staff to take part in the Newberry's schemes. These individuals can be new or existing!
