History:
Amalia’s been born to a uppermiddle class family. Her ancestors have established the Hanimi Trading company in the early 18th century. Her grandfather didn’t inherit the company, as he was the second son. He worked there straight after school, under his younger brother. Gaining contacts and experience, he moved to the Ministry Of Magical Co-Operation where he climbed the career ladder. His brother and his wife, however, had contracted dragon pox and succumbed to it, leaving no children behind. In his will, Amelia’s granduncle left everything to her then teenage father.
The young man was overwhelmed at first, but had help from his father, the second son, as well as the other family members working in the company. Adman, her father, met her mother on one of the balls he was invited to. She caught his attention with her blue-green eyes and mischievous smile. Within two years, they were married.

Amalia was born year and a half from their marriage and was their first child. She was the apple of her father’s eye, his princess from the day she was born. aEven as her borhters were born later, she still remained his favorite child. Her brothers were born 2, 3, 6 and 10 years after Amalia.
She was the only girl born to her family in almost a century and so the only girls she could play with were her mother’s friends daughters. Perhaps that is why they decided to adopt a child recently orphaned by a man working for Adman. The girl was pretty and well-mannered. They thought she’ll make a great companion to Amalia.

Amalia herself, as a little girl, was very restless and free spirited. She’d have to be stopped from running around and getting dirty. She loved playing with her older brother and would often get into shenanigans with him. At first, she’d be wary of her adopted sister, but eventually grow to like her.

That didn’t change her nature which was prone to mischef, pranks and rather tomboyish behavior. The other girl would play with Amalia, but only with dolls and when it didn’t involde getting dirty.

Soon, Amalia noticed that her adopted sister is more popular with adults and tried to emulate her. Contrary to her, though, she couldn’t exactly keep herself from asking questions, even when she wasn’t supposed to.

When it came to etiquette lessons, the adopted sister was far better equipped to them. She lacked the restless energy that made it hard to sit still for Amalia.
In other parts, though, Amalia would excel. She’d learn languages quickly. In her household Arabic, English and French were used intertwiningly and so the girl learned them quickly, having been exposed to them her entire childhood. However, this wasn’t enough for her father who’d pay for her Latin lessons as well.
Given that her adoptive sister was born before September, she was the one going to Hogwarts before Amalia. Something of which the girl was incredibly jelaous of. She accompanied her sister to all to Diagon Alley, shopping for supplies. She watched her get new, beautiful robes and dresses. She watched how her wand lit up when it chose her and her face fell open in awe. Her mother reprimanded her that as a young lady she shouldn’t be acting this way. Her sister giggled and rushed to hug her, saying it’s okay, she’ll get her own next year.

Hogwarts Years: 1880 - 1887

The girls missed each other terribly. They wrote letters to each other weekly. As their mother was a known breeder of Birtish shorthaired cats, the young girl got a kitten to go with her to school.
It felt like forever when Amalia was finally graced with her Hogwarts letter. Her first sign of magic seemed so long ago. It had to do with her hair. Her maid spent a long time putting it in an appropriate do, which was very uncomfortable and hurt little Mal’s head. Soon, it fell down and her hair was loose, all the pins out of it. The maid tried to fix it, but when she tried to reach the comb it moved. Amalia giggled at that and, eventually, her maid had given up.

She can’t remember when it was exactly, but she supposed around when she was 9 or 10. It was fun, though.
She made it to the Hogsmeade station with her sister, the two talking together and the other girl introducing Amalia to her friends.

Waiting for her name to be called, while standing quiet, was excruciating to the tween. When her name was called, she sighed with visible relief and muttered: “Finally!” under her breath, as she followed, proud, head held up high. She wanted to be sorted into Rabenclaw, but the hat barely touched her head and exclaimed:
HUFFLEPUFF!

Amalia grumbled something and sat by her table.
She looked wistfully at her sister’s table, Ravenclaw and thenat the house colors.
“Well, at least I look good in yellow.” She said, trying to put a grin on her face, making a girl sitting next to her laugh. Her name was Meredith and they became fast friends.

At school, Mal was the leader of a group of friends from various houses, with her sister being her second. Together, they’d do many mischievous things, some pranks, but never got caught. Amalia was balued not only for her intelligence and wit, but also her patience, kindness and undying loyalty. She’d always defend her friends and stand by them, even if they were in the wrong.
There were also some traits people would never suspect her of. Amalia was hard-working and good with money. She never spent more than she had to. Most of her money went towards her own cat, named Dahlia. She always preferred modesty and didn’t buy the neest, most fashionable hair pieces, jewlwery or order new dresses to be made if her own were still looking good. She’s also always been kind to house eleves. Sometimes, she’d get into a discussion with a professor if she had something to base that discussion on.

Her first year, she really enjoyed flying lessons, but her family made it clear that she cannot play Quidditch. It’s just not good for the family’s reputation. She had, however, joined a myrdid of other cclubs, always keeping busy. Some of them, she joined because a friend asked her and the others she truly was interested in.
In her third year, she had chosen Ancient Studies as well as Care of Magical Creatures for her additional subjects. Divination, while certainly and interesting subject, didn’t sem all that practical to her.

As her O.W.L.S came, Mal got O
‘s and E’sin Potions, Herbology, Charms, , Defense against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration and care of Magical creatures. These subject and Ancient Studies she continued on until N.E.W.Ts.

Amalia had quite a few adorators while in Hogwarts. Her unusual beauty drew many of a man to her. She, however, ignored them all, finding them too immature. She’d spend time with her friends, often laughing at some of the boys antiques. Dating was of no interest to her, though she did have a few male friends.

As the time for graduation came, Mal got O’s in the following subjects:Charms
• Care of Magical Creatures
• Herbology
• Charms
• Transfiguration
• E’s in:

• Potions
• Ancient Studies
• Defense Against the Dark Arts

Life After school: 1887 - 1888

Like many other girls of her stature, Amlaia had a private coming out ball. There were several interested parties in her, but she made sure they lose interest. In fact, she had made them interested in her friends. Finding within them a match for which she became the maid of honor at one of her friend’s weddings.

Amalia herself was interested in older than her, more mature men. Still, she and her family were picky. Amalia was a patient woman, who believed she will find a husband that will enjoy her true nature, not just be taken with her beauty

As in her first season she was uncussefull in fiding a husband and grew restless, her father let her work part time as his assistant. She would work only a few hours a day and not do tasks unbecoming of her like brew tea. She’d help with documents though and would sit and take notes at meetings, if need be.

Amalia quite enjoyed her work, though she was aware some frowned upon it. Her family had no other idea what to do with her, though. If they let her just stay at home, she’d drive them crazy. She’d been gifted many new books, but has already read everything in the house. Her sister was already engaged and brothers still in school. Being a governess wouldn’t be something she’d be good at. She possessed the patience and the kindness, but she was far too restless to do such a thing for long.

Mal quite liked helping her father. While there were some comments about her sitting on the business meetings and taking notes, those notions would be quickly shut down by miss Hanimi herself. She’d respectfully show the men she was intelligent and suited this work.

At some point, he was threatening to find someone else to get ingredients from when Amalia suddenly jumped in and told him about various magical creatures that haven’t been tested in European wands and that posess unique abilities. She’s It seemed she had intrigued him enough that he began calling her visit.
Eventually, that was how she had met Mr Gervaise Ollivander. The moment she laid eyes on the man 12 years her senior, she was struck by a Cupid’s arrow. Something in him made him look between regal and mischievous. He was charming, well-mannered, but also a bit reserved, with a hibtof bad boy in his eyes. She was hooked. Even more so, when she got to sit on his meeting with her father and witnessed how he had negotiated wit him. She was truly impressed.

The next big adventure: 1888-present

Mal was definitely interested in this man. More than in any others. His intellect had caught her attention. Though he didn’t show emotions all that much, it was okay. He was a good conversation partner. They’d discuss magical properties of woods and magical creatures as ell as books. She’d tell him about the arabian stories she had read that haven’t been translated into English and how life looks like in Tunesia. Time passed by and soon, the pair was engaged.

Sadly, at the beginning of their engagement, Mal’s grandfather had died and she had to go to Tunesia for funeral proceedings as well as do the mourning period. It didn’ make her too happy, as she wanted to marry Gervaise right away, so that no woman can get his eye and take her place. She wasn’t sure if he felt love for her or just friendship, but she knew what her feelings are. The first month of mourning, Mal spent in Tunesia. She came back quieter, more respectful, but there was still wit in her eye that Mr Ollivander had seemed to like.

As the mourning period ended, the two could finally plan their wedding.

Mal asked for a May wedding, as this was her favorite month. Her family, happy she finally found a respectable match that she didn’t try to discourage, gave a large dowry to the Newlyweds as well as a life-long supply of wgattge sib-in-would need for 20% iof the value. From her mother, Amalia got a pair of cavalier King Charles puppies named Eshaal and Saba.

While this gift made her smile, seeing as she loves animals, it was her father’s and her husband’s gift that made her smile the most.

After her grandfather died, her father sold the old man’s estate and, after talking to hs brothers, gaceve the money, aside from dowry, with a stipulation that they buy a nice house in London, not just live above the shop.

Gervaise’s gift, however, was the most touching. He had made her a beautiful, perfectly matched wand. While her previous one wasn’t bad, it wasn’t perfect. As her first one was broken during a summer trip to Tunesia in 1884, it had to be replaced. It was made by a Tunesian wand maker from local ingredients. While it was certainly well-matched, it didn’t feel as right as the one Gervaise had given her. It lay perfect in her hand she could feel a surge of power as she touched it. It made her tear up and thank him, saying it’s the most beautiful gift she’s been given.

It’s now been almost two years since she’s been married. Mal tries to be a good wife and give Gervaise space. She knows he loves his job. She just make sure he takes care of himself. She hasn’t disclosed it to anyone, but she doesn’t feel ready for children yet and is glad her husband is not pusnihg the matter. The woman can often be seen in the shop, acting either as ‘self-appointed assistant’ or ‘self-appointed manager’. She is always polite and kind to the employees as well as clients, always having a good word for everyone and making them feel welcome. The shop is her home too, though to a lesser degree than her husband and she wants other to come back not only for the quality, but for the feeling.
Personality: Mal doesn’t discriminate based on gender or class. She’s open to everyone and has a warm smile and kind word to offer to almost everyone. She’s patient. If someone insults her, she’s capable of swallowing her pride. However, if her friends or loved ones are hurt by others, she’ll plan athe way to avenge them.

SHE IS A VERY PROTECTIVE PERSON AND WILL FIGHT TOOTH AND NAIL FOR HER CLOSE ONES. SHE’S A BIT IMMATURE AT TIMES. SHE BELIEVES IN TRUE.

Other:
Mal has two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels of chestnut colors. She also has an old, blue British short-haired cat. They all have Arabic names. Mal speaks fluent Arabic, English and French

Making friends was never one of Tabitha’s strong suits. It wasn’t that she was shy. Not at all. She wasn’t afraid of people, she always held her head up high during confrontations. It was just that she couldn’t understand people.

The fact that throughout many years of her education she made only one true friend certainly said something. Truth be told, if Harvey wasn’t so set on befriending her then she would likely have no friends at all. It was an actual miracle that Harvey was so persistent. It still amazed her how he managed to push through her walls without actually forcing her to do anything. He was the best thing that happened to her and Tabitha was well aware of that.

The redhead admired her boyfriend’s social skills. She made a promise to herself – in here, in this new school she was going to at least try to make new friends. Which wasn’t going to be easy given just how much she sucked at small talk with the strangers. She would always utter something she found perfectly acceptable, but others did not. Tabitha simply couldn’t tell, she didn’t know how to actually talk to people.

The easiest way seemed to be flattery, but it wasn’t always a good idea and often he wasn’t sincere. Despite being the child of the God of Lies, Tabitha preferred to be truthful and not sugarcoat things. Sometimes she came out a bit too harsh, without meaning to. She knew she can come off as condescending at times. Really, how Harvey managed o stand her for all these years was a mystery to her.

Lily seemed nice enough, at least she didn’t seem like she was pretending to be anything else than what she is and Tabitha felt that they might just get along. She could use a friend with Lily’s confidence.

“You probably don’t know her. She’s a freshman. Linette Phillipsen.” Tabitha said, toying with the cup in front of her. She didn’t really feel nervous or anything, not anymore. She just… felt she needs to occupy her hands.

Tabitha forced a smile at Lilian’s reassurance she’ll make friends eventually.

“People said the same thing about highschool. I made exactly one friend during that and that’s my boyfriend. Harvey’s the outgoing one, I’m the one tugging at his sleeve.” The redhead expressed her doubts. Honestly, two of her biggest fears were related to Harvey. One, that he was dead – a recurring nightmare. The second one was that he found himself someone better – someone like Lily – and dumped her for that girl. Life without Harvey in it just seemed… bland. She had to be apart from him for so long… She never wanted to be this far apart from him again. Not if she could help
